I am from Europe and both me and my wife consider Grand Pere Bakery the best French pastry bakery we've seen in Seattle so far. In particular, the pastries are just perfect - airy/fluffy and not over-buttered. In particular, just try to the plain / "butter" croissant - it is just right, not greasy, perfectly baked. I've been meaning to visit this place because I'd heard so many good things about it and it did not disappoint! They have a good sized selection of baked options that look so delicious. I had the butter croissant and my dad chose the ham and cheese croissant and they were perfectly baked. For coffee, my dad got a drip and I got a vanilla oat milk latte and they were equally good. The ambiance is cozy, but not overly fancy, which I prefer. There's ample parking...

I really love this place! Amazing pastries and the coffee is done right. We tried and couldn't find a better almond croissant anywhere in Paris.
They've expanded their selection since COVID times, so if you haven't been here for a while, it's worth a trip. This morning they had almond, chocolate, plain, and savory ham and cheese croissants, several flavors of Danish, tasse de cream, and more!
