Tried the clam chowder — it was pretty good! You can actually taste real chunks of clam, not just potatoes and cream. On the way in, I met an elderly lady who said she’s been eating it since she was 5 — now she’s 70. That says something!

This place has had good and improved music for about the last 3 years. A lot of Classics and 70s music. Nothing too hard or too soft. Now does January 14th 2026 and the music has turned into something awful. Generic pop crap sounding music please bring back the good music

What a great way to start my stay in the area. The view was excellent. (Window, water side) It's just fascinating for a Midwesterner to watch the ships go by. Not to mention the view across the bay. Jack was in his game for assisting this first-timer to Ivar's. The Halibut was super and was the perfect lunch. I will definitely be back for more this week.
