Everything that my husband and I tried was delicious. Hands down the best tuna melt I've ever had. My husband loved the Katsu and Loco Moco. Everything we ordered was always very well cooked and tasty. The restaurant is clean and the staff are friendly.
Barbe-Queen is a unique and cozy restaurant that is off the beaten path. Despite being out of some items due to equipment malfunctions, the restaurant's friendly staff and delicious food make up for it. The decor may be rough, but the substantial portions and flavorful dishes more than make up for it. The Monte Cristo sandwich, with its added bacon, is a standout item. As a local favorite, Barbe-Queen offers a big menu with a focus on Polynesian flavors. With exceptional service and friendliness, this restaurant is worth the extra trip. The "old standby" chicken fried steak is a popular choice, and take-out is also an option.
