The food is enjoyable, but relatively average. Its American diner-esque cuisine, and it meets ones expectations... so for ocean shores, that says ALOT! Hence, the 4/5 ☆review***The lady at the front desk at our hotel recommended this restaurant, saying it was the only restaurant she likes to eat at in ocean shores. We took her advice. We ordered cod fish and chips, and the prime rib melt, along with two stubborn sodas. This was our first time here, and if you've never been here, You might be wondering( like I was) what the heck is a stubborn soda?... They are not alcoholic. Rather, it is the brand of sodaserved from the self-serve fountain in the restaurant. They haveClassic and contemporary flavors.I had the pineapple cream soda. While it was not the most flavourful drink, It was light, crisp and refreshing. Not too sweet- while still giving pineapple cream. The fish&chips were done right& they seemed to be what everyone was ordering-so its a safe choice, if that's your thing. I was not disappointed with my prime rib sandwich- which I chose after reading mixed reviews about the crab melt. If you don't know where to eat while in town, I definitely recommend you eat here. Honestly, it's quite a gamble when picking up a restaurant here, because so many do disappoint. While it is an "order at. the counter and sit down"-type situation, I give the service such a higher review, because the waitress who came around and checked on us. Shehonored my request for extra pickles to take home - giving me more than I expected, along with a little bit of pleasant banter, which I really appreciated. So thanks to her, that category gets four stars - But without her, it would have been two or three.“
“I love Shore Shack burgers & fries. I would highly recommend them to anyone. This evening I decided to try the Beef Terriyaki for a change. After reading multiple online reviews, I was certain that I would be quite happy with my decision to try the Beef Terriyaki. And, of course, the beef Terriyaki meal exceeded my expectations. Shore Shack is a “sure thing” each and every time. Great service, without fail, and food that would create long lines, and plenty of traffic, were it located in a more populated area. “The chicken teriyaki skewers and garlic shrimp skewers were delicious! We ordered the plates so they came with rice and curry sauce- also delicious. There was a lot more on the menu I would like to try, I will definitely be back on my next trip to Westport. Huge parking lot right beside the food truck, right across the street from the observation tower and beach access to Half Moon Bay. Great location, great food, great service!“

Zero step entry from the sidewalk. A little tight around tables but not bad. Single restroom somewhat acessible; lots of space not not many grab bars. Very clean.“
“I ordered takeout here the other night while staying at a nearby hotel with our dogs. The woman who took my order by phone was nice enough. My husband ran inside to pick it up. When he came out, I asked about the vibe, and he said "Kind of a dive bar, neighborhood-type place. Pool table, football on the TVs, neon beer signs, and the menu was handwritten in chalk." I got garlic wings and my husband got a BLT with tots. The garlic wings were pretty good. Garlicky (I'm not complaining) and a lot of butter. I stuck a few leftover wings in the hotel fridge, and I'm not going to lie, the fridge smelled pretty garlicky the next day and there was a little inch of congealed butter or oil on the bottom of the box. My husband reported that his BLT was "maybe the best BLT (he) ever had." That's pretty high praise! I didn't try the BLT but I snagged a few tots and they were delicious - nice and browned to a crisp. Five stars for what it was, good tavern food! Quick, hot, and hit the spot. We didn't ask if the tavern was dog friendly, otherwise, we might have gone back to hang out, but we did hear that they had live music the next night which happened to be New Years Eve.“
