“You wouldn't think Wendy's for fast food breakfast, but it was surprisingly good. Food was freshly made and hot. Tasty and filling. Great customer service, and a pretty good value for the money. Sure beats anything the clown or the royal buffoon has to offer.“
“These guys are killing it, Kimberly and Adrian were extra personable and so was the cook who brought my food out (forgot to get his name-evening shift 10/09/23) great attitude and knows how to cook for real. Best food and shake I've had at any DQ, and some of the best service too. Thanks!“
“The employee who served us was very friendly and quick. The frozen custard we got was delicious and a good amount for the price. The hot food was mid grade, it wasn't anything amazing but if my kids are hungry for a quick bite while we are in Astoria we will eat here again. I'd give the frozen treats 5/5 and the food a 3.5/5. The location is a fun little outdoor stop when it's not pouring rain ☔?Parking: They have a free one way parking lot that can be hard to get in and out of but there is also plenty of street parking around the corner on busy days.Kid-friendliness: Lots of kid friendly options!“
“Craving satisfied! On a lunch break I was in desperate need for a solid burger. I had never tried the Owl’s Nest before, so I felt I needed to make the trip. I was not disappointed the Gyro burger was such a complex combination of exciting and complimentary flavors that I honestly finished my fries first to ensure the burger would be my last bite. 10/10 would recommend!“
“Fabulous spot for a quick lunch in Astoria. We went the burger route this visit but in a conversation with a local regular she told us we had to come back for the pizza! Place is pretty clean and fairly busy at this lunch stop but service was prompt. I orders a super burger which is a 2/3 lb patty. They have a double super burger but I just didn’t have the stomach that day for 20+ ounces of ground beef. Tots were good but the presentation was only slightly underwhelming. Wife had half a meatball sub that she said was very good and very filling. Onion rings were commercially prepared, not house made but were crispy and tasty. Next time through it’ll have to be the pizza“
“Very friendly staff, the ladies were so kind. I had a pretty big order, and they got our order done very quickly. The blizzards were so good. I tried the Carmel cheese cake blizzard, and it was so good. We ordered 2 of the 6 piece chicken strip baskets & they gave us gravy and fry sauce in both boxes. She explained how the fry sauce was free & they made sure to add it in each box. Overall, it was a great experience visiting the seaside Dairy Queen.Parking: I'd say there is a row of at least 10 or more parking spots.“
“Our whole family gets DQ often, at home our place is pretty slow and usually the blizzards aren't mixed well/lacking in the mix ins themselves. We came in here with a big group, the service was amazing, so kind and patient. They made our orders incredibly fast and EVERYONE in our group said it was the best Blizzards they have ever had: mixed super well and chalk full of mix ins. After our whole group ordered someone even came out to make sure no one got missed and that everything came out well. We typically go to a different DQ when we visit the beach but we will now make this one our place to go!“
“01/14/23 - Stopped here for 1st time ever, while on road, to catch Seahawks vs 49ers.Struck us as a quintessential neighborhood bar, with very old, but very cool decor. Loved the focus on football, racing, and local Coasties base. All the locals treated us like long time friends, and one even bought us a round (with the entire house!)Feel bad I've forgotten bartenders name, as she was outstanding despite being alone & doing everything - i.e., drinks, cooking nice burgers & fries, waiting tables, etc.Blown away she made our Bloody Mary's from scratch (not a mix)!!Classy place even keeps pool tables covered when not in use. BTW...most seating is comfy, padded wrap-around chairs.Highly recommened. These folks deserve your business!“
