“Come here every year with my friends in October when we stay close by. This has got to be the best bar we’ve ever found. The atmosphere has a local feel, however the locals make you feel like you belong.
The bar has a dingy feel and at the same time is very clean. Great price on drinks, very friendly staff, if you don’t stop here you’re missing out on one of the best bars at the coast.“

“One of the better Wendy's I've been to and definitely the best fast food option in the area. Consistent hot food every time I go and usually not a long wait. They can get busy during peak times but still never a crazy long wait time. Wendys isn't usually a 5 star but this location has been very consistent and the staff are always friendly and always seem to hustle.“

“We dont eat fast food but love the Peanut Butter Parfait! I can't eat peanuts so I order that with no peanuts & extra fudge... It is always sooo good & exactly as ordered! Ive have only went thru; but the employees have always been so friendly! ♡
BTW my husband is a germ-a-phobe... he will not purchase anything from a restaurant, deli, etc if he doesn't think the workers have good hygiene. He definitely notices if someone doesn't wash their hands, handles food after touching $, sniffling, touching their face etc... Pay attention because it happens all the time at some places. I guarantee he would never stop at this DQ if he's seen it just once.

“Amazing. We were told if you go to Astoria go and try the fish n Chips from this one place but they sold out and so we saw this place and we were so glad we did. Hubby had the Philly cheesesteak and I had the fish n chips, we both shared the awesome bowl of claim chowder. FYI they have the best tarter sauce“

“OHH MY, I THOUGHT I REVIEWED THE OWLS' NEST. BEST BURGERS IN THE COUNTY BY FAR!!!!!! My hunnie and I have come hear almost once, if not twice a month ( when we can) since they opened if, I am not wrong. Food is amazingggggg! I tell everyone! Customer service top notch! Family owned and operated!!!!!! Prices you can not beat. For the Taj Mahal quality at the Big M price. NONE of the nasty horrible side effects either. My lover enjoys the Jalapeño bacon burger while I go back and forth between 3 hehe..the bacon, cheese burger, the Chipotle gyro burger, or the Chipotle gyro fries. Ohh my! all ohhh sooooo yummmm.... Owl NEST never leave us!!!!“

“My family and I are locals and frequent your restaurant often. We truly enjoy your establishment and want to start by saying we recognize how difficult it is to find and retain good employees these days. We’ve seen many staff members come and go over the years, and we genuinely appreciate the efforts of your current manager (I’m not sure of her name) — she seems to be doing a great job trying to turn things around since COVID. We also remember Becca fondly, as she was wonderful, and there are currently a few employees who consistently provide excellent service.

That said, I wanted to share some ongoing concerns regarding one particular server, Jacob D. This feedback isn’t meant to be unkind, but rather to highlight areas where additional training or support may be needed.

Over multiple visits, we’ve experienced repeated issues such as:
• Orders being incorrect (regular fries served instead of Cajun, Cajun tots replaced with fries, tomato on a burger when requested without).
• Condiments being incorrect (ketchup requested, ranch delivered).
• A split burger order being confused with a single burger order.
• Very long wait times before being greeted or offered water (around 25 minutes during a slow evening).
• Empty water glasses not being refilled, even when clearly visible.
• Appetizers and food taking extended periods despite the restaurant being nearly empty.
• A general lack of awareness of guest needs, such as checking in, offering refills, or asking if we’re ready to order.

We understand that some issues can originate in the kitchen, and we also notice a difference in consistency between weekday and weekend service. However, many of these concerns seem to stem from attentiveness and situational awareness rather than attitude — Jacob is not rude, but appears to struggle with basic customer service flow.

We genuinely like your restaurant and want to continue coming back. Our hope in sharing this is that it may help improve consistency and overall guest experience. With some additional training, or perhaps placing him in a support role better suited to his strengths, we believe service could greatly improve.

“This is the last good Dairy Queen in Clatsop County. Don't go to Warrenton or Astoria; they'll make ya sick. Gearhart DQ has always been solid, and they actually cook their food. Without the Gearhart location, you'd have to go all the way to Manning DQ (also just as good as Gearhart). PLEASE STICK AROUND IN GEARHART. 🤣“

“Hey this guy named V with rad pink hair. He was very very respectful, open and very polite when I asked for certain things off my burger. The guys in the back of the house rocked it! We need more dedicated workers like them. I’m very satisfied to bring my business here at this restaurant.“

Had originally put in a mobile order which got canceled as soon as I arrive to the restaurant because they were having system technical issues. An employee informed me that it could be 5 to 10 minutes, so I waited to resubmit my order.

Around the 10 minute mark, it seemed like stuff was going back online. I went up to order my burger at which point I realized that I no longer had my coupon for 40% off a quarter pounder. Clara recognized that I had waited an extended period of time and said not to worry apologize for the wait and comped to my burger! Sure, a $4 burger is nice, but it was more so the attentiveness that she had to my visit and recognized the importance of everyone everyone’s time. Greatly appreciate you, Clara and hope to see you on my next visit!“
