Definitely not an authentic seafood experience. The decor is outdated and it smells funny. Instead, go to Tugboat Annie's! Or the Oyster house.

My wife and I had such a fantastic time at Budd Bay Café right on the Percival Landing waterfront in Olympia, WA. The location is unbeatable—with breathtaking views of Budd Bay, the marina, sailboats, and the sunset painting everything golden. We timed it perfectly for the Sunset Dinner combo, and it was an absolute highlight!
The Sunset Dinner is this amazing three-course special with huge, generous portions of fresh, delicious Northwest seafood and classics. We were so full and happy—everything tasted great, from the appetizers to the mains. The food was flavorful, well-prepared, and just what we wanted for a cozy date night.
Service was top-notch too: our server was super friendly, attentive without being overbearing, and made sure everything was timed perfectly. The whole vibe felt welcoming and relaxed.
After dinner, we stepped out and walked along the harbor docks and boardwalk at Percival Landing. It was such a nice night—the air was perfect, the lights on the water were sparkling, and it felt so peaceful and romantic strolling hand-in-hand with those stunning bay views.
If you're searching for romantic waterfront dining in Olympia, fresh seafood restaurants Olympia WA, or a spot with incredible sunset views and easy access to a scenic harbor walk, Budd Bay Café is the place! We've already recommended it to friends and can't wait to return—maybe catch another sunset dinner soon.

If you like restaurants on the water front this one is definitely a place to try. Had a variety menu with lots to choose from.

My go-to place when living in WA. Now that I've relocated out of state, it remains my go-to place when back in a visit. The scenery, the setting, the breadth of menu, the fair prices, the fresh scrumptious flavors - all this calls me back.

We went to dinner one late afternoon, in December. I ordered the seafood risotto, it was wonderful, best meal I have had there.

Came here because my wife and parents love Clam Chowder. They were not disappointed.
The staff was polite and super accommodating to my wheelchair bound mother and allowed us in with our dog. (Medium sized, well behaved)
Have a great non seafood selection too if your not a fan of it.

Went for lunch while visiting our son in Olympia. We had eaten here two years ago and decided to come back. We were a little disappointed in the Cod, it seemed to be more breading than fish. Our son had the Cheeseburger and enjoyed it. It is on the water so the atmosphere is great.
Not worth the money.
Maybe I am spoiled from excellent food and service for those prices back east.

The Bud Bay Cafe located near Mud Bay in Olympia is right by the marinas and it is so much more than a cafe.
I love the atmosphere and the location. First of all. Being by the water is amazing for me.
We expected to order a simple salad and grilled chicken for lunch until they brought out the fresh specials which were amazing and five star restaurant quality. I ordered halibut and lobster tail wrapped in phyllo dough with a wild rice pilaf and my husband ordered king crab legs with the same sides. We also got the apple tart. All were on the fresh menu. The flavors were fresh and incredibly cooked to order. This is one of my new favorite places to stop by anytime we're in this area.
I shouldn't forget the service, everyone is very nice and friendly and make sure that you're happy with your order.

Right on/above the dock area with views across the water to homes & forest, we loved the location, view, food & staff. For lunch, one had a filet of tuna burger, and one a seafood pasta. Service was excellent. Surroundings busy sea/fish/ship- oriented with a TV/sports section at one end. We enjoyed the other end watching the anchored boats.
