Best restaurant in Olympia, without a doubt, everything is always executed perfectly. Small simple details often elevate a good dish to a divine plate (like the crispy lentils in the gem salad adding a bit of crunch and nutty flavor plus the green goddess pistachio dressing is sensational). Tried the pork chop last night for the first time, cooked and seasoned perfectly, I am still thinking about it joyously today. Their steak tartare is ridiculously delicious and among my most favorite I've ever had. Also, I never note this about any restaurant, their bathrooms are beautiful.

Cute atmosphere and good service. I wish I had a great experience with the food, but it was disappointing. The rock fish was ok - burnt on the edges, but otherwise fine. Nothing amazing nor horrible. The collard greens were flavored heavily with vinegar - tasting more like pickled relish almost. The rice was just plain white fluffy rice like Uncle Ben's. And the hushpuppies were a little sweet and had corn in them; they were closer to corn fritters. Good hushpuppies should have nothing besides a few bits of white onion in them. I was underwhelmed by the dish, but nothing was offensively bad. Just not good enough to justify the price or another visit.

This is the best food EVER. Literally I have to take a pause from conversation to have a euphoric moment of joy not with the first or last bite but every single one. I think it says something about the quality of a meal if you are sad when you have your last bite but are also rushing to the first bite of the next dish. Basically what I’m saying is. Eat here. Always.

This is a lovely little place. Friendly service, delicious food! We started with the chicory kale salad and scallion bread with spicy cheese. We followed up with Shrimp and Grits and Vegetarian Risotto. That was like Christmas on a plate! There was a fun discovery in every single bite! Drinks were on point, also. We loved our visit and would definitely come back.

I almost got hit by a car after leaving Chicory because I was in such a euphoric state from the food. But I wouldn't have even cared if I died because it would've been the best last supper a girl could ask for. Luckily I am still alive so I can go back! The food was so orgasmically delicious that someone literally said I'll have what she's having. Highly recommend!!
I just went back there (8/31/2025) and holy amazzzzzzZING! I had the urge to jump on a table and scream “CHICORY!!!!” in a Spartan voice. The sensational flavors took me to an archaic sense of self. One of simplicity and necessity. I couldn’t imagine this existence without having experienced the heart felt plates of this community hub.
