Good afternoon! My husband’s band, Stir Crazy, was playing last Saturday and I wanted to make sure to let you know that even though you had a full house our waitress was phenomenal! Her name was Emma. We’ve been there many times but have never had her and she was truly the best. Great attitude and service! Thank you! Kim Mcdevitt

Meh. Food took a long time to come and they weren't that busy at the time.

We've been wanting to try the COVE for breakfast for sometime, since they're open so late in the morning we didn't have the chance until now. Unfortunately, it ended up being one of the most disappointing meals we've had in Olympia.

I ordered a coffee and steak and eggs. I know not to expect steakhouse quality when you order one from a place that doesn't do them primarily, but even still I was disappointed. The steak was pretty sinewy. Even worse was the cook on it. I ordered it medium rare it arrived seared on the outside and completely raw and cold in the middle. It was served pre-sliced, so I'm not sure how that was missed when it was plated... The eggs I ordered over easy, and unfortunately even that wasn't great; the whites weren't set. The breakfast potatoes were a standout, great texture and seasoning. Coffee was also good, above average.

My wife had the chicken and waffles. The waffle was not great, it was somehow a savory flavor and undercooked. The chicken was fine, a little dry and bland, but battered and fried ok. The bacon jam was somehow completely lacking in any flavor.

The service was also pretty poor. Though our waitress was friendly, she was pretty inattentive. We had to try and get a refill on our coffee despite moving the empty cups to the edge of the table and waiting ~10-15 minutes. She also didn't ask about our food, despite neither of us having eaten much of it. We also had to flag her down after getting the check and waiting another 10 minutes.

Maybe it was just a bad day, but we won't be giving it another try to find out.

Even with the Friday night madness, Jordyn was an absolute rockstar! She effortlessly kept our good times rolling and made sure we felt like VIPs. Seriously, she's the reason our night was such a blast!

I am really impressed with the food and staff. We ordered the salmon dip, smash burger, king clam chowder, and poke nachos. They were all very well cooked. Each item was cooked and prepared perfectly.

We visited tonight and have very mixed feelings about our dinner. Some dishes were good while others had some issues.

The shrimp and grits were one that had problems. The grits were bland and watery. In addition, there were only 4 shrimp in the entire dish.

The crab risotto was ok once we added salt! It came out extremely bland. I would give it a C+.

The mac and cheese was delicious. Definitely the winner of the group. Another winner was the crab roll and fries.

Finally, the last disappointment was the mojito. It was watery and tasted like it was missing the syrup.

We were stopping while passing through town. After this, we will probably not be back.

We were served old fries literally.

We had an incredible dining experience at The Cove in Olympia! From start to finish, everything was top-notch. The steak sandwich was perfectly cooked—tender, flavorful, and packed with all the right toppings. I also tried the lobster special, and it was absolutely to die for—rich, buttery, and beautifully presented. The Violet Sunsets cocktail was the perfect complement to the meal—refreshing, balanced, and just the right amount of floral and citrus.

The ambiance was relaxing, the service was friendly and attentive, and everything came out quickly and fresh. We can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend for a date night, special occasion, or just because you deserve a great meal!

Given the Cove 3 tries and the food always disappoints, especially at the high price point. Most recently, two in our party had the crab roll and there was not a piece of lump crab meat in the 2 rolls at our table. No claw or leg meat. It felt so cheap and deliberate for what they are charging. An ahi tuna bowl was bland, and Fish and Chips were nothing special. The atmosphere is awesome and service is good, but the Cove just doesn't live up to the high hopes you get from their great looking menu. The food sinply disappoints.

Best Fish & Chips I’ve ever had. And you have got to try the Brussels they are incredible. I will be going back soon.
