Tacos California Lucid 5 Truck

The lady taking my order seemed and looked like she didn’t want to be there. She could work on trying to be nicer. She didn’t greet me, didn’t smile once, and didn’t even hand me my food when it was ready. Just left it on the counter. The food is way too expensive for what you pay for. You don’t get much and it isn’t very tasty… I was really excited to try this because I grew up and lived in San Diego, California for 18 years but this place just isn’t a good spot unfortunately.

Maybe we’re spoiled living down in Vancouver near Portland where the taco trucks compete for awesomeness, but, this was a two star experience for me.

I have had great experiences at the other Tacos California locations, but tonight was the opposite. I ordered the three taco combo, 2 with carnitas, 1 chicken, and no salsa. While ordering, the staff member rolled their eyes at me when I asked for no salsa, and was not particularly nice. Upon opening the box, I saw that all three tacos were carnitas and were covered in hot salsa. I was able to salvage some of the meat, but then I found a hair that was not mine or anyone in my house. It’s a bummer because they have had some delicious food in the past.

FLAVOR BOMB !! I had the Al Pastor (no beans) burrito. Insanely good marinated pork with pineapple in a burrito. The sweet with some heat. The perfect combo. And the thing is huge. Has to be over 2 lbs. The staff is friendly and full of smiles. The food is fresh and full of flavor. Now I have to drive all the way from the west side for my burrito.
This is a must see and eat place.

Food was very bland and overpriced 7 tocas and two drinks for 38.90 the only thing was the service was fast but as for the cooks and cashier. They were talking behind the customers backs overall this was a disappointment we got polo, chorizo, and asada and all were very bland.

Tried again a month later still gross it's a bummer because they did great food only a year ago.The beans soaked through the cardboard that they served it in and it fell apart as I was trying to pick it up. The taco meat was also extremely salty something I've never experienced with them before and I didn't get any red sauce or a jalapeno with my meal which I always have in the past. I sure hope things improve but I am sorely disappointed definitely enough to say something.

The torta with the carne asada had a very weird tasting meat. I think it may have been reheated, but the taste in general was off. The bread and veggies were fine.

food was alright but giving 2 stars because judging people and laughing at them is not cool. I spoke to you in Spanish while placing my order because I am biracial and i literally speak Spanish. Not all people who have white skin and look gringito or gringita are automatically 100% white. I'm just as latino as you are, and you had no right to mock me in my spanish tongue. Just because I speak English fluently and don't look hispanic you think it was appropriate to mock me? I can understand what you are saying when you laugh at me after I speak in Spanish and you mock me to your co-worker in Spanish... I just decided not to call you out because it was a long day and I didn't have the energy.
But do not discriminate against your customers because they speak Spanish but aren't brown enough. My DNA carries the same hispanic genes that yours does. Also, when I originally said it in English twice in a row, and you just blankly stared at me like you were confused, that's when I turned on the español - and then you understood me. so why was that a joke? It wasn't funny that you couldn't understand my English - that's normal in the USA. Yet, it was funny when I spoke Spanish? why?
not cool - I won't be coming back here and told my grandma she thought it was ridículo, carajo. Don't judge polite paying customers.

I’m not from here I’m just visiting from work and everyone was telling me I have to try this place as a person who grew up in cali and Mexico i always love trying a new Mexican eatery and was excited that it was also a taco truck but i was very disappointed with this service and tacos. The cashier was upset I didn’t tip ( some people have a budget they gotta stick to, it’s pricey out here) she pushed the tip jar towards me two times and even stated “maybe you’ll tip next time you’re here” as someone in customer service also, that’s absolutely outrageous . on top of that they expect since you’re white you don’t speak Spanish and feel free to talk shit. They also charge for hot sauce. Now for the tacos, they were so greasy the whole bottom of the box they came in was soaked and they only gave 1! Tortilla per taco so of course mixed with that grease, they fell apart. So dissatisfied

Wish I would have taken pictures - the food is delicious and looks good too! I see why it’s becoming a popular spot within the neighborhood. Today we got the bean and cheese burrito & a chicken fajita quesadilla. I have a picky eater who downed the burrito and claims it’s the best ever.

Got there. Asked if they were open. Answered yes then walked away. Was then completely ignored by staff.
