I came here because of the reviews. We woke up and just really wanted a tea and bagel. There was a miscommunication when we ordered - I asked for a chai tea and they gave me a vanilla latte. They scolded my husband for a few minutes before they finally re made it and then gave us attitude the rest of the time we were there. We got our bagels with the garlic and chive cream cheese and I’m not even joking when I say it was nearly inedible. The bagel itself was good but that cream cheese? My god. The garlic was so strong it was burning my mouth. The after taste is INTENSE. So much garlic it didn’t even taste like cream cheese. Then we got a chocolate coconut macaroon ball - it’s literally just raw coconut shavings. It isn’t even cooked. Absolutely terrible. Such simple things to mess up and they were pretty rude to us after the mishap. Heard multiple people complain while we were there. $30 for intolerable food and a terrible tea.

The food is all vegan and really good. I had the smoky nest panini which was delicious. The tahini chocolate chip cookie was moist and so good! My daughter who is not vegan also love it!

I ordered the avocado toast, and it was one piece of bread cut in half for $10. Hurt the bank, wasn’t that great, left feeling hungry and disappointed. Hipster vibe to the place, seating was limited. People were nice though.

Best drip coffee I've had in a cafe in/around Seattle, love that the whole menu is plant-based, the savory mushroom pastry was insanely delicious, the staff were super friendly, and they gave us a free herbed cheese-stuffed bagel that was garlicky and awesome. This place is a must-stop now whenever I'm in Olympia.Vegetarian options: Everything is plant-based

Fantastic coffee, great treats (with gluten free options), amazing staff, wifi available. My partner and I went to this café to get some work done, and it was fantastic. He had gone previously with work pals, and they all raved about it.The baristas were very helpful and the coffee shop overall has a very "community" vibe. If we lived nearer, we would definitely go frequently. The coffee prices are reasonable and the coffee was really good.We had a misto, matcha, and mocha. My partner and his work pal had a pb cookie (gf), and scone, which they both said were great.

I only stopped in on my way through town but I would most definitely recommend.! The coffee was delicious and it was one of the best scones I've had. There seemed to be quite a selection of gorgeous pastries so I imagine everything is just as tasty!

I am amazed every time I go here! The food is incredible, the people are lovely, and you can tell they put a lot of thought and care into their offerings. Try their coffee cakes with a cup of tea or latte, you won't regret it.

This place is the cutest spot with amazing plant based and gluten free options. The coffee is my favorite in town and the Reuben is unmatched.

Small coffee shop with delicious vegan treats and sandwiches. Not a lot of places to sit down so no parties larger than 3. My meat loving family absolutely adored this place and the sandwiches were surprisingly "meaty"

We were visiting from Vancouver, BC (Canada) and found this great spot to have a nice coffee and snack. The coffee and food were great and the staff so friendly. We went back 2 days in row! The grilled cheese sandwich was our favourite.Parking: We easily found free street parking on the weekendKid-friendliness: Our kids had the grilled cheese on sourdough both times

The Owl's Nest Coffee + Pastries stands out as my go-to coffee with a bakery option in Olympia, where I can visit multiple times a week. In the downtown area, it competes with two unique coffee and bakery options in close proximity, yet The Owl's Nest captures me more often than not. Perhaps the 'closest' or the welcoming staff draws me in, but it's worth noting that the other establishments are wonderful. What sets The Owl's Nest apart is not just the quality of its offerings but the warmth and dedication of its staff. The presence of the owner, sometimes working alongside her mother, adds a personal touch that I greatly admire. It's a pleasant atmosphere, combined with the staff remembering a face. For those with dietary preferences or restrictions, The Owl's Nest offers an all-vegan and gluten-free menu, a rarity compared to its local counterparts. This and its cozy ambiance make it an essential stop for anyone looking for quality plant-based options. I'll admit, sometimes completely vegan places can turn me off if there is a sense of 'superiority' about the choice, but never here, so I deeply appreciate they do this very well. The menu at The Owl's Nest boasts an array of delectable choices, from their rich coffee and tea beverages to homemade pastries, sandwiches, and salads. While I tend to gravitate towards their coffee and pastries — particularly enjoying their muffins and cookies — my mother has raved about the scones, which are reportedly a must-try.The Owl's Nest features Trailhead coffee and Metolius tea, emphasizing locally sourced ingredients and showcasing a commitment to supporting Northwest-Oregon brands. I grew up in Oregon and appreciate seeing some Oregon Brands in Olympia. Their ethical approach and dedication to quality are evident in every aspect of their business. In summary, The Owl's Nest Coffee + Pastries is more than just a coffee shop; it's a delightful spot that combines excellent food and drink with a warm, inviting atmosphere. Whether you're a local or just passing through, it's a beautiful place.

In town to visit my daughter and her partner and we stopped in for breakfast. I throughly enjoyed the atmosphere and the service was top notch and helpful. The choices were plentiful and I settled on the biscuit and miso mushroom gravy along with a maple scone. It was simply some of the most flavorful vegan food I have eaten. Everything was tantalizing to my tastebuds! I will definitely stop in the next time I’m out here for a visit.

Went to another coffee shop down the street first, that was the mistake. Didn't like their latte, so we meandered to this shop, and it saved the morning. The iced latte was so yummy, not too sweet, and the beans were smooth. My partner got two different cookies and loved them both. We also were able to get lovely smelling local candles. Literally going back the same day for our afternoon latte before heading to the beach.
