The Port Taco Truck + Cantina

We had an incredible experience at this location. The food was absolutely amazing, and the service was excellent from start to finish. We tried the California Burrito, queso fries, endless nachos with guacamole, and the kids had burritos and nachos. Everything was delicious.

What really stood out was how accommodating they were. Three of us are vegetarians, and they tailored several items perfectly for us. The flavors were spot on, and we all left full and happy.

We’ll definitely be returning. Highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We went for brunch:
The chorizo biscuits and gravy were not what we were expecting but tasted good. The French toast was supposed to come with ice cream and I never got it. The cocktail was poured heavy and could have been sweeter. The Mexican coffee was good.
The atmosphere was cool but a bit confusing. A lot of different things going on that didn't seem to mesh smoothly.

When we were able to talk to a server, they were polite, but getting someone to check in with you or getting their attention was very frustrating. We felt a bit ignored. We did not get water and had to ask halfway through. I asked for water for both of us and the waiter only brought us one so I had to request a second one. It was difficult to call someone over to get the check and to get boxes, which is why I didn't even bother asking about the ice cream.

The prices seemed good. 45$ for us to get a plate and a drink.

The side was not chips and salsa it was duros and a sauce. I wish they had lime juice/salt for the duros.

The bathroom had floor length stalls which was great! I was not a fan of the 'tub' sink and the water did not heat up fast.

Wish I had known about this place sooner! Went with my family and as Mexicans we were so happy to see an authentic menu. Everything was delicious. Food was amazing, loved the margarita flights to be able to try all the flavors. Service was fantastic.

Food and drinks were delicious but the hospitality and attentiveness were seriously lacking. We didn’t get menus or orders taken for 15-20 mins, when people came in after us and were seen right away. They close at 8 and they were closing up the restaurant, yet no one came around to give us our check until we asked. I would have given 5/5 if service was better!

My husband had a medical emergency while we were there today and the staff there was so kind and compassionate. The responded to him immediately and even brought us water and ice packs and everything and helped the paramedics. When we were about to go to the hospital, I tried to pay the bill and they told me don't worry about it. My husband is fine now, but we will forever be grateful for their compassion and kindness.

Food was good and looked pretty. Only one server so a little slow, but still good service. Watch out on Monday's it's 32oz, yes 32oz margaritas. Although a little much they were good.

Ate at their food truck on Yelm highway. Food was pretty meh. The main was fine but the rice was crunchy/undercooked, and the tortillas looked store-bought and were really dry.

Came to try this place for the first time after it being recommended by a friend. We walked in and were not greeted by anyone. Someone was working the bar but didn’t say anything. Weren’t sure if we were supposed to seat ourselves or not. After waiting a little bit we decided to seat ourselves, finally someone came over and we put in our drink order, it took a little bit to get our food order in. Just for reference we got there at 1130am and we didn’t get food until around 1230. It was fine as we were hanging out. But if I was here with my family I would hope it’d be quicker especially when there wasn’t very many people in the restaurant. We got the birria tacos and they were pretty good. Highly recommend the chips/salsa/beans! I got the Miami mojito and it was supposed to come with a puree, sugar rim and mango chunks but maybe they were out of that stuff. I hope to try it out again for a second chance :)

Best Michelada around!!

My husband, friends and I have been going to the port for years now. We love coming in! The staff is amazing, service is great and food/drink is as well!
