First of all the staff is friendly when I've been in. I like their strawberry rhubarb pastries. My husband is from Germany and his Sister had a cafe/bakery with out of this world stuff. I've had German baked goods all over Germany. We recently moved from a town with a real German certified baker. So good that we had him make our wedding cake. Not a crumb was left and people had seconds and thirds. We ordered two cakes for my husbands birthday from Wagners and they were beautiful. But they were extra sweet which is not what the Germans do. You can really taste the flavors in German baked goods. This just tasted like sugar like a run of the mill American bakery. But a lot of people like Wagners. Sure seem like nice people. Staff at the Farmers Market is very nice

I have loved this place since I was a kid and my Oma would bring me. I recently moved back to the area and had to bring my fiancé to try my favorite bakery and we truly enjoyed both items we had. We also bought their incredible cinnamon bread and will be back for more ?
The very rude middle-aged woman snapped at me when I simply said Good Morning. " we will see, the day just started". Fire her! I asked what was fresh?. She snapped "Everything is fresh" So I ordered a pastry and a coffee. What this bakery calls fresh is ice cold and likely bought from Safeway, thrown into the case, and priced as "Fresh" The coffee had coarse coffee grounds floating in it. Instead of posting whiny tableaus of how expensive it is to do business in your front window, do Olympia a favor and close your business. If saying good morning to your walk-in customers, at a bakery, is a bridge too far, you have failed your Father's legacy. Go back to Bavaria and learn some hospitality. AVOID THIS DUMP!

Update: Same story, the staff always seem annoyed to help customers. The food and coffee are not worth the price. The pastries are barely worth going there..this place isn't as good as it used to be.Do...not..go..here.. (I used to love them).The only reason they dont get a 1 star is the muffin I got was actually really good.The lady that helped my co-worker and myself was incredibly rude and inpatient with us, and we were the only customers in there. He asked about donuts and she said with a very condescending and elevated tone "donuts are only Wednesdays and Fridays" followed by an eye roll.I used to love getting their sandwiches, albeit the wait time was long but that was before covid. Now I will not return due to horrible customer service.
