We absolutely loved our meals at the wayside Café! And the Chunkie cookie was excellent! We like the lunch so much that we stopped back and did takeout for dinner. Totally recommend!

It was a nice surprise to find this place. We had ribs plate to go. Served with mash potatoes and gravy, Mac & chz and green collars. Everything was VERY good!! They also had soft serve, we added peanut butter sauce; omg thank you! Also the bbq cauliflower wings were excellent! Neat place with many dessert options, drinks and everything VEGAN 🙏🏽🤍🙌🏽

We are vegetarians and that was one the worst meals I’ve had in awhile. Really nice people though. All 3 dishes were nearly inedible. Heavy on the vinegar.
One of my favorite spots downtown! The food is always amazing

To be fair... I have a cold so I can't taste that well, but I was here with my partner who isn't sick. There's a diverse menu. We got a peanut sauce bowl and a cajun chicken burger with a side of mac, and potato balls. $10 to eat potato is wild. The mac n cheese tasted like nothing. Caijun burger just tasted like corn (is that normal? never had one before) and the bowl was apparently good according to my partner. Generally unimpressed with the yummy factor. Expensive too
Finally had the opportunity to stop in at the Wayside. While the menu is primarily vegan, the selection of options varies greatly.
Visited on a Saturday at lunch time. There were two employees on hand and the salad I ordered took about 15 min to receive after paying due to the number of patrons.
Due to limited street parking at this busy downtown intersection, plan to walk from some distance.

Always nice to have vegan options. Food was tasty and the portions were huge!

We ate dinner outside here and it was delicious!! One of the best meals we've had recently. We got the buffalo chicken and mac & cheese to share. The portions were generous and it wasn't too expensive either. Really excellent flavor on both items. Great service. We will definitely be back!

Great food! I recommend going in to pick up food cause every day they have some bakery items for sale. Anyone craving cake needs to try it here!!
People are nice too and they feed the homeless through a pay-it-forward system.
Recommendations: Buffalo cauliflower, rib plate, seiten wings, and any special with the oyster mushrooms.

I appreciate punk vibes in a vegan restaurant, but I don’t like how they blast music. So loud and echoey in there. Got the hulk hoagie for $17.50 and a side of Mac and cheese and wasn’t really impressed by either. The sandwich seemed small for the price. Their cake was pretty good but a bit dry :(( Other things on the menu look good though so maybe just chose wrong.
A best stop for vegan food, plan your trip around eating here. Loads of food portions and amazing tastes. BBQ ribs! Tofu stir fry on red rice!

Not very good food to be honest. Not that good of flavors. Possibly not enough salt. $30 for a sandwich.
