Been staying at this Red Lion for years. Food in the bar is ok, but have avoided the restaurant due to the bad reviews. Finally decided to give it a try because we were too tired to go anywhere else. Glad we did! Place was empty when we went in, and I’m pretty sure no one else was served while we were there. The wait staff was very friendly and fast. Wait staff look harried, but restaurant less than half full. Waitress had no idea about wines or how to properly pour it. Food ok, but not stellar. Menu is good, but employees need training to sell it.
The creative young chef is wonderful! The staff is attentive. We recently attended a private 5 course dinner and wine pairing. Chef was amazing. We were pleasantly surprised, impressed, and so pleased.
