People travel to Thailand, at least partially, to eat Thai food. I did. I LOVE Thai food... I've been on a quest to try to find authentic tasting Thai food locally...but, no luck ..... it's all Americanized. The food at Sawadee Thai is unfortunately a classic example of this very phenomenon. Its good, but its not authentic tasting Thai food. I wish local Thai restaurants understood that if you make it authentic, people will love it.
We have been eating here for years and the food has always been amazing! It is still really good except the peanut sauce recipe has changed and the new recipe is not good at all. Please switch it back to Jerry's recipe. It was a lot thicker, with lots of peanuts. The new sauce is very runny, not many peanuts, and is very tangy or vinegary.
We have enjoyed several delicious meals from this great Thai restaurant, and the lunch we just had was no exception. I had the Pad See Eew Noodles with chicken and my friend had Chicken Pad Thai noodles . We also shared a Fresh Roold appetizer. We were able to ask for a 1 or two level of hotness to be added to our entrees. The food was made fresh and came out very quickly. We were stuff full and ate our leftovers for dinner that night!
