We've been staying at this hotel for 19 years -- back to when it was The Inn at Port Hadlock. Yes, it's a funky, unique building, but nothing (and I mean, nothing except the TV) has been updated. And it shows. Dirty and chipped paint, cracked tile, dirt in the corners, stained rugs. While there's a restaurant onsite, it's not open for breakfast, so it's necessary to get up and go in the morning. Not my favorite thing to do on vacation! The view, however, can't be beat, and that's why we decided to stay again. Not sure we'll be back in the future.

This hotel was full of surprises...some good, some not so good!
The receptionist was most gracious and helpful. We were shown around the rather complicated hallway system and where to find ice, etc.
The best feature of the hotel was the garden, where lush plants abounded, and the walkways were well-planned. Overlooking the bay, from the garden benches, was pleasant indeed.
The rooms were really showing their age, though, but do get a view room. No room for a chair or two to gaze at the view, but then the windows were high. Because the building is old, the soundproofing is minimal.
Some funky places to eat nearby, serving really good food.
The biggest surprise was that this hotel also serves the community by providing housing.

My first impression was how cute this place was! Surrounded by blooming flowers and a well manicured lawn. My room had a small fireplace which I thought was a nice touch, and I had a view over the marina which was perfect to watch the sunset. The room was clean and comfortable. I had a wonderful breakfast at the restaurant downstairs and had fantastic service.

We enjoyed the ease of getting around all of the other things. Our younger family members camped at fort Flagler and we had the comfort of a nice bed!

My brother-in-law and now, sister-in-law had their reception at the old alcohol plant. Couldn't have been better! Food was outstanding, the service was outstanding. They assigned us a young man whose name is Josh and a young lady whose name was Carmen who poured drinks and beer.

They were fantastic! Josh circled the room constantly picking up empty plates, asking folks what he could do for them, etc... even going so far as when we all move to the outside area coming out with a tray of desserts at one point and at another Point coming out with a tray full of champagne. Just very professional, very Pleasant and helpful the both of them can't say enough about them.

Except they should get a bonus for yesterday. The room is excellent, it lets out into a veranda which then lets out into a patio which transitions into a small field. Just overall a very very nice venue.

The band fit into a perfect little space on the veranda. If you're planning an event that's largish to medium or small event I would highly recommend this place.

Love this place!! Super cool rooms, no two alike - they are slightly outdated in a few ways, but the historic nature of the building and *amazing* art in every corner well makes up for older curtains and carpet. The gardens are stunning - don't skip wandering thru the grounds to see sculptures and more artwork tucked here and there outside. Spirits restaurant did not disappoint - after a brief seating mix-up, our party of six was settled at the nasturtium-lined windows overlooking the patio to enjoy dinner. Every entree was beautifully presented and delicious and the drinks were fabulous too! Amber waited on our table and made our afternoon an absolute DELIGHT!! This hotel/resort supporting a worthy cause is definitely worth the travel - highly recommend.

Don't get me wrong, we had a stellar view from our King Suite and comfy bed. The breakfast we had was also delicious. Alas I tried reaching out to the hotel a few days before my stay and they never responded. Once there, when we alerted them to our air conditioner unit flipping the switch they said there was nothing they could do. And at 4 am I was alarmed to wake up to a woman screaming fire! And there was a fire. The only hotel staff around was the maintenance guy who was nice but not equipped to deal with the situation. We had to prompt him to find blankets or hoodies for the guests who were freezing outside. No other staff came within the hour we were outside. We weren't offered coffee, told what was happening or communicated to about the situation. The next day we were told the issue was a faulty cell phone charger and they appeared to be blaming the guest rather than accepting the incredibly old electrical work. I felt terrible for the family who had the bulk of their family already booked for the weekend for their son's wedding. They were not treated with graciousness or concern.

Pleasantly surprised and excited by this unique, historic hotel! Quiet location with a beautiful marina view in a protected cove. Friendly staff made it easy to say yes to an extra night. The room was great in terms of layout and the patio (a little dated). Art Gallery was nice. Spirits restaurant was a highlight and had local music from blues to guitar jam sessions. Price seemed a little high, but it was 4th of July so to be expected. Overall a fabulous experience!

Our stay was wonderful. The room was large, clean, very comfortable with a fantastic view. The staff was great, and the location could not have been better.

Great value. Water views. The grounds are beautifully landscaped. The food was amazing. We ate in the rose circles courtyard with live music. I had rockfish with pineapple salsa and garnish from the local garden of fennel and borage. The building is old, but that is the point. The location is in a small-town about 20 to 30 minutes from most of the tourist destinations.

This is a nice place to eat, but unfortunately, I haven't stayed in the rooms yet. We ate outside on a sunny day and had a nice view of their grounds and of the marina. The food was good, the service was ok. I would eat here again and would suggest you do as well if you are in the area.

Overall a nice stay. The hotel offers stunning views of the water and has a charming property with gardens growing vegetables and herbs used in their restaurant. Dinner was excellent, and service throughout was friendly and helpful. Rooms are a bit dated, and breakfast was just okay—service was quite slow in the morning. Limited walking options around the area, but a pleasant and peaceful setting overall.

The rooms are average. The setup is wiered, and you have the hot tub next to the bed. Overall, the room was very spacious along with the bathroom. We had an issue with our room, but the general manager was very professional in handling the issue, providing us with refund appropriate and acknowledgment of what was wrong, which was greatly appreciated.

Dreamy location, but a nightmare of a hotel! Arrived on a Sunday and the parking lot was full. No food service was available since it was Mothers Day Brunch only- no dinner service was available. Went to our room through a run down hallway and ill tended walkway to a shabby room in need of a good cleaning and maintenance. On Monday & Tuesday there is absolutely no food service or even coffee available at the hotel. The hotel was like a ghost town. Gardens were very pleasant. We applaud the efforts to creatively use this facility for transitional housing, but please don’t ignore the hotel guests who choose this hotel to support these efforts.
