Nice place but they should have free coffee in the morning.
This place is a goldmine if it had active ownership. It needs someone willing to invest in staff and keep the facility maintained. The Bar/restaurant is understaffed which is unfortunate because the food was good Rooms are mediocre due to being outdated and poorly cleaned, the garden area is unkept, but beautiful view.
Birthday wknd and having been here before years ago, I was very excited to share this place with my husband, yet I was disappointed. Maybe I expected too much like our room's deck seating to be clean, king Deluxe room to have more than one chair, so, not wanting to dirty the towels to clean the patio chairs, I had to sit on the bed to have take in food and enjoy movies on our down time. Also, We'd rather enjoy the atmosphere for happy hour in the cozy bar area, so Why isnt the bar open?
I had a great stay at the Old Alcohol Plant Inn. What stood out most was the staff. Every interaction from check-in to check-out felt genuine, friendly, and actually welcoming. That consistency makes a big difference.
The room had a lot of character with great natural light and a beautiful view through the large windows. Very comfortable bed, spotless bathroom, and thoughtful touches like the glass bottle of water.
The food was excellent. Dinner was spot on, and breakfast really stood out. The avocado eggs Benedict with hash browns was cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious. I’m already planning to come back and try the Dungeness crab option.
Great experience overall. Definitely a place I’d recommend.
Stayed here for work trip. Beth (Front Desk) and the Maintenance Guy (forgot his name), were super helpful. The entire staff and restaurant staff were amazing as well.
I had a wonderful 5 days here. Beautiful views and the staff is just amazing. Enjoyed the dinners and the breakfast. Would do it again.
Fascinating place on a picturesque , quiet harbor a few minutes from PT. Interesting stories about this place both past and current. Lots of art, music on the weekends. Food is ok, but only served on weekends. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Important: when booking make sure you get a room in the front tower, not the back one.
Great Inn eclectic and historic feel.
Nice view of water .
Garden fruit and veggies grown and used in food.
Big John told us about the big John breakfast and we had to get it .
Big John breakfast and the biscuits and gravy and the avocado pouched eggs so good.
Service was very nice and helpful.
Restaurant was very good beet salad and Steak was very good.
We loved it and would come again.
I’ve stayed at this hotel multiple times! Love love love this place! What they do for the community is truly amazing! I love the restaurant! The staff is super helpful and friendly. The hotel may be out of date but they are updating and the hotel is super clean and welcoming! I will definitely be staying here again and always send my family and friends their way! They also run the Starrett house in Port Townsend. Can’t recommend enough for both properties!
Every thing was perfect up till dinner after letting it sit on table for a few min there were ants in our food. Front desk was closed. I started feeling a Lil ill and just went to bed. My husband sat up and watched TV for a bit and kept flicking ants off him hoping that it was just in the downstairs seating area he came to bed but all night ants every were he was flicking them off of me and him self. We brought this to the attention of front desk when we checked out and was given a ten percent discount and the number to the Gm. I started trying to reach her first thing Monday but was told she was in a meeting all day. I paid 360 dollars for that suite and another 75 dollars for dinner we didn't get eat and we were offered a ten percent discount I dont think so it's been a week and no refund into my account so if you dont mind the ants in your bed and in your food or in you it's a five star joint but if you would rather not have ants then I wouldn't stay there the gm has done nothing to make this right by me made it impossible to contact her for a solution to this situation for that I wouldn't recommend it to any body thank you

The Old Alcohol Plant is a great small hotel with a fabulous location. The rooms are clean with beautiful gardens and great water views.
Sweet hotel with excellent staff. Beautiful setting and great restaurant! Best Prawns ever!
Older and kind of run down. Odd broken down vehicles in the parking lot. Room was comfortable but strangely the hours are from 8am to 8pm daily. Afterward, no one to check you in.
Very friendly staff. Nice rooms with charm, this is not a 5 star big brand hotel but a unique find that is well worth the visit. Interesting history to check out and beautiful gardens seasonally.
I love staying at the Old Alcohol Plant! Beautiful views of the water, beds are comfy and the staff is wonderful. The restaurant is reasonable and good. I have brought many people there to stay and they enjoyed it as well. It is my favorite hotel in the area.
