El Agavero is by far the best Mexican restaurant in the region. We live in Port Townsend and this our our go-to restaurant. We eat here at least once a week! Their sauces are all phenomenal: red, green, mole, a la diabolo, con crema. Chile rellenos with fresh, whole chiles. Excellent black beans, whole pintos and refried. The service was friendly. The atmosphere was clean and charming. My husband ordered the Torta and he said it was the best that he has had in years. I ordered and enchilada with rice and beans. The enchilada sauce was fantastic. It was light yet full of flavor. I absolutely loved it. I highly recommend this restaurant. PS They will validate your parking too!
Their guacamole was flavorful with a nice citrus tang. The cream sauce on the pollo a la crema was delicious! The bacon-wrapped shrimp in the Don Chuy special tasted great, exactly as hoped for. The tortillas were hot! The flan tasted amazing!
