I'd been to the previous version of Dock's and it was good enough to go back, but wow, the new version Salish Grill was spot on, better menu choices and every dish was very well executed. Our waitress was new but got everything right and was very attentive. We will be back.

I asked for ranch to dip my fries, I was charged $1.75. I was never informed of this charge until I saw the bill! Need better communication if you are charging extra!

Quality of food has gone down hill, pricey and not great. Wouldn’t go back.

Calamari and oysters were too heavily fried. Could not eat the oysters. The previous “Doc’s” used to serve very delicately fried versions of these foods. THEIR calamari had small rings and the other parts of the squid. The Salish Grill’s calamari looked like onion rings and just a few of them at that. Not a fan. Order a burger instead.

Had a reservation for a table. When we got there a rude hostess gave us the worst table in the place with a view of the bathrooms and kitchen. The upholstery in the booths was all ripped up and covered in duck tape. Flies were all over the dining area. Will never go back.

While in Port Townsend we needed lunch. As we visit often, we wanted some place new... enter Salish Grill. We walked to the restaurant and had a beautiful view of the water. We ordered a golden beet and baby arugula salad, which was amazing as it was, but some candied pecans would have added another layer of texture. Then we had the appetizer portion of butter clams and mussels in a butter white wine sauce... these were absolutely wonderful. The sauce was simple and light, which allowed the shellfish to shine through on their own . I did order a filthy dirty martini, which came to the tanle and was spot on... sheer perfection.
We were pleasantly surprised and when we return to Port Townsend... we will definitely return to the Shalish Grill.

Excellent seafood and service with great views at the tip of Port Townsend. Fish and chips were perfectly prepared in a light panko crust. Fast, professional servers with friendly attitudes.

Well, I ordered the portobello bahn mi because I like trying new things, but I should have stuck to the seafood. The bread was hard, it all fell apart when I tried to dip it in the au jus, and just wasn't great overall. The coleslaw was luke warm. Definitely not a twenty dollar plate of food. The clam chowder and cod that I tasted from family members' plates were good. Food also came out at random times and Brussel sprouts were good but were brought out with the meal instead of as an appetizer. Service was friendly.

Update: Even though we had a bad first experience, the owner reached out to make sure our concerns were heard. Given the level of professionalism and courtesy, we will give it another chance and revisit next time we are in town.

Was really excited to try this restaurant, it was my first time visiting Port Townsend and I just wanted to have some seafood after driving for 5 hours. As soon as we walked in, me and my partner were greeted with blank stares and side eyes. Every time I asked a question I was met with a passive aggressive response and none of my questions were actually answered. When I asked for portion sizes, the waiter just brought up pricing in away she assumed I couldn’t pay or afford the food. Felt as if I was treated differently because I didn’t match the aesthetic of customers they wanted. On top of this, the restaurant is an old colonial building that has not been updated with air ducts and an HVAC system, the air was warm, stagnant and humid with it being just 70 degrees out and the restaurant was crowed to make it even better. This usually would not be a complaint of mine if the service was not so poor. You cannot control the weather or crowd, but you can control how you treat people and your preconceived notions you have about them. The food was not all that good to be treating people like they’re too poor of not of the same social class to be having it. It was okay at best.
