I did not eat last visit as I am off sugar, but have been in the past and if you enjoy mid century retro experiences this will make you happy, and of course it is a GREAT place to bring the kids.
This little gem is next to the ferry and well worth going in. Go to the back of the store and you will see an old time soda shop. The waitress are special and provide the entertainment for the locals. Be prepared for the interactions that only can be described as surprising and fun. Now for the Soda Shop, you can get everything we remembered from our long ago youth. Ever heard of a Chocolate Coke? well one of our friends had it years ago and asked, yes they could make her one....
Fun place for lunch and walking distance from the Ferry. The waitresses are local and very helpful in answering questions. Service is fast and the menu offers a wide variety of choices. The amount of food for the money was a good value. They make "real old fashioned milkshakes. This Soda Fountain is found at the back of a Mercantile. I would go again.
