This has always been a favorite for breakfast, however we went for lunch this time. My husband ordered the salmon salad ($22.50) and I ordered the Scotch Salmon Pasta (also $22.50). He had a lovely piece of salmon on his, probably 4-5 oz which was totally overcooked and dry. My salmon had possibly 1/2 oz of salmon pieces about 1/4" square. The taste was good, but it wasn't equal in protein for the same price. In general, the meal was a real disappointment. Plus they have a +3% service charge for credit/debit cards. Lunch was almost $70 with a glass of wine and an ice tea. It should have been a whole lot better. For most folks it was just average. For us, we expected something much better from them.

Ate breakfast here three days when in Port Townsend in June 2025. The food was hearty and plentiful. I had different omelets -- all good; for gluten-free I did the corn muffin substitute. The place was most crowded around 7:30 to 8:00 -- during that time a family might wait for a table. Stayed quite busy through 9:30 the mornings I was there.

I love coming here for breakfast! Amazing food, lovely workers (especially the server, young man with the blue eyes, he is so welcoming and best service ever) and great location. I love to come here with friends and family, we always have the best breakfast.

We sat for well over an hour before we got our food! The slowest and worst service I've ever had and they didn't even care. We were starving and annoyed by the time our food came. So disappointed! The main dish was lackluster but the sides (grit cakes and corn bread muffin) were the stars of the show. Over all a HORRIBLE experience. Sadly we will never return.

We were looking forward to returning to this restaurant and bringing friends. We have had breakfasts here over the years and loved it. Wow… this was awful. Breakfast took almost 2 hours- over an hour without any service… dry coffee and water glasses. Other wait staff walked by, looked at empty glasses and walked by. Our server ignored us. Just as we got up to leave - without eating- our waiter arrived with food and apologized for the wait. We never a refill of coffee or water. The waiter showed up one more time- to present the bill. Everyone at our table has worked in the service industry and understand that staff make mistakes and things go wrong in the kitchen. It was the ghosting that was upsetting. No, we didn’t complain or make a fuss… we will just never go back. Luckily there are lots of other great restaurants in PT.
