The Old Whiskey Mill Reviews
My wife and I dined there for lunch on December 17, 2025. That was our only meal of the day. That evening we both became ill with nasty stomach and intestinal issues. We reported our experience to the manager 2 days later. She apologized for what happened, declined to refund our money but offered to email us gift certificates. We agreed, however, the gift certificates never arrived, and she has not returned our call.
Staff were awesome. Super friendly and quick. Food was amazing. Best food I’ve had in a very long time. I will be making a trip to Port Townsend from Ocean Shores soon mainly to eat here again. Highly recommend to everyone. I had the duck poutine and chicken club sandwich. Even the house salad was amazing.
We let the host know we just wanted to sit in outdoor seating and have a drink. He told us to find anything open and he'd let our server know. We did, then spent several minutes looking at menu options, nobody came, we left 🤷♂️

The Old Whiskey Mill is a charming restaurant with a beautiful space, welcoming staff, and delicious food. Their menu offers a variety of options, including the popular "Frenchman Poutine" and fish and chips. Some dishes, like the fish and chips, may be slightly oily, while others, like the smoked chicken club with yam fries, are well-liked and tasty. The restaurant also features unique drinks, such as a specialty mocktail and tasty adult beverages. Visitors can enjoy sitting outside on the first Monday of summer to watch antique cars and hot rods cruise through town, or relax in the cool old bar. The high ceiling keeps the interior cool and inviting. Customers praise the fast and delicious food, with some mentioning the northwest burger and smoked salmon grilled cheese as excellent choices. The service is friendly, though occasionally a bit slow, possibly due to staffing. Overall, The Old Whiskey Mill is a great place for lunch or dinner, offering a pleasant atmosphere and good food.
