The ice cream is great but I was super frustrated by what happened when I went to pay. I ordered one regular scoop (4oz) single flavor and one mini/kid scoop (2 oz), single flavor with hot fudge. I was charged for two single scoops. The mini scoop was clearly smaller. The employee's answer made no sense. She said the single was really two scoops and the mini was really a single scoop so was the same price as a single. WHAT?? I pointed to their huge price sign on the wall...
We were sad when Mora left but Island Cool has done a good job replacing it. We got three different flavors and were pleased with all of them. I really liked the Dark Elf as it had a really rich dark chocolate taste.
Even with a busy crowd just 30 minutes before closing, the team at Cool Island Ice Cream delivered prompt and polite service. The shop was spotless, and the ice cream hit the mark—rich, flavorful, and worth the stop. A great way to end the evening.
