This is a restaurant that serves traditional German / Scandinavian food. Prices are ok, food and service are good. It’s a nice place to dine if you are an expat. The Wienerschnitzel, Spaetzli and Rotkohl are all authentic recipe other than the breading on the veal cutlet flakes off a bit from the meat. Very tasty.

Update: Inside needs a face lift and whoever runs the place - having an windows AC unit produces the same amount of heat as cold air plus the heat from the mechanics. You want a swamp cooler - add ice which you have and AC.

Staff was friendly and also look like they work well together.

It may not be authentic but it was delicious. Try the Shepards Pie and the Swedish Meatballs. Worth the stairs to get there.

Yummy food and huge serving. The pretzel is so yummy. Soft and warm. The size is bigger than my face. It also serve with dips and cheese, very nice indeed. Schnitzel is using pork cutlet. It is very good not dry. Sauce is really good. And also huge in size. Mixed sausage plate had 3 kinds of sausages. All of them are moist inside and very tasty. Plenty of tables indoor and balcony seating outdoor. The whole street are very unique and pretty. Street view on balcony is fantastic. Plenty of parking nearby. Card payment available.

We were seated quickly and sat on the balcony. Fun place to people watch. We waited an hour for a pretzel and a sausage appetizer. People who came after us got their pretzel and left without the rest of their food because they had to meet the ferry. Our food finally came and the pretzel was hard and impossible to cut. We asked if thst was how it was supposed to be. The waitress brought a new one within minutes. Not sure why we waited so long for the first one. During our wait nobody asked about our drinks. The food was good and the atmosphere fun, but I probably won’t go back.

Good German pub grub. Atmosphere ok, but you don't go there to eat the wallpaper. Full bar. Outside seating on the balcony. Noise level moderate.

If you ever find yourself in need of a passport-free escape to the heart of old-world Germany, Tizley’s EuroPub in Poulsbo delivers the kind of culinary teleportation most places only dream about.

I dove fork-first into the Jaeger schnitzel, a golden, crispy pork cutlet smothered in rich mushroom gravy that would make any Black Forest grandmother weep with pride. Each bite was a masterclass in comfort: the schnitzel's delicate crunch yielding to tender meat beneath, all crowned by an earthy, soul-warming sauce.

On the side? Rotkohl, tangy-sweet red cabbage done right, a bold and welcome contrast that danced on the palate, and a scoop of warm German potato salad, dressed with just the right hit of vinegar and smoky bacon that made me wonder why we ever settled for mayo.

But the real kicker? A tall, frosty Bitburger, poured to perfection. Crisp, clean, and unapologetically German, it was the final flourish that tied the whole experience together like a toast at a family biergarten.

Tizley’s doesn’t just serve food, it serves nostalgia, tradition, and a bit of magic in every stein. Prost! 🍺

Not to be confused with gastro pubs! Great food in a beautiful germanic setting. The Schweinshaxe is a huge portion! Can feed damn near 4 people. The apple strudel is also large portions. Make sure to wear stretchy pants because you will be very full after! I cant find anything negative to say about this place.

Having lived in Europe for tge best oart of my life, the ‘Wiener Schnitzel’ was not the same as in Germany or Austria. I’m not sure, but I thought it was deepfried. To me, It was quite bland. I had never had German potato salad before and I found it quite disappointing. It seemed like it was jjst patato cubes with vinegar and mustard.
Having said that, other people may have a totally different experience and for those who are used to the American cuisine, it really is something else!

Great menu but below average food. I feel they survive on novelty of using German recipes but they only put in minimal effort both in their food and service.
