The server tried to sit us in the back of the restaurant near the kitchen. I asked for a different table.
Service was slow as well. My gf noted that another couple that came after we did was served first.

Noticed this establishment took a hit in their food safety rating. Ate anyway and ordered a pulled pork sandwich which I’ve had here a couple years ago. The pork was cooked to death, lost its texture, and had no seasoning. At points it was as if I was eating canned cat food. No idea who thought it was a good idea to throw a half inch thick tomato slice on a pulled pork sandwich but you should remove that asap. The fries were the only redeeming factor of the meal.

HG Bistro is a hidden gem!! To think that for all of these years I've driven past the restaurant but never visited until just the other day. The vibe/ambiance is perfect between being casual yet classy/fancy at the same time - it was a great date night spot for my husband and I.. We even dressed up a little and did not feel overdressed! The drinks, appetizers, and meal were all so tasty and very well displayed on the plate! Both our server and the cook were very accomodating to my dietary restrications and made the perfect meal per my requests. We will definitely be returning!!! Check it out!

From the moment we walked in, Norma Jean and Lisa made us feel welcome and ensured that every detail was perfect. Their professionalism and warm personality made the entire planning process a breeze. The staff was attentive, and the food was exceptional—every dish was beautifully presented and delicious.
Lisa's ability to handle our requests on such short notice was truly impressive. She managed everything seamlessly, and her dedication to making our special day memorable was evident in every aspect of the service.
