I love that Skippers is still around. I stop at this location whenever I can. Really kind service and the food is excellent. Given the price of seafood nowadays you can't beat Skippers. The chowder is still excellent!

Since my local Skippers has been gone for years, I thought I would make the drive to one of the few left. The food was ok, pretty much the same as it was 10+years ago, I am sad that they went back to all-you-can-eat only on Tuesday, but they had done that a long time ago, so it wasn't a surprise. But the fish is different, smaller but thicker pieces, same amount, just cut differently. The fries were pretty good, fresh and crispy.The service was phenomenal, two young men and they were VERY friendly and VERY helpful. I probably would not travel so far just to get the food again, but I might, just to enjoy the amazing customer service that is lacking in so many other places. We were there on Saturday 03/02/24 in the afternoon, steady flow of customers, but not overly busy.

What can I say? Everything. I can say everything about this place. I went to skippers pretty much every week when I was younger. It was a staple. When they closed the lacey location (sometime around 2014 or so I believe) we were devastated. Well I happened to be in the area so we went, hoping it would be somewhat like what we remembered. It's. Exactly. The. Same ? As soon as I smelled the smell of fish and fries outside I knew it was going to be good. I chatted with the young man, who's name was Teddy at the front counter as he took my order. I told him I hadn't been since ours closed and he was shocked and so excited for me to be there. From the condiment bar to the cups for drinks, it was all the same as I remembered. What a trip! We ate our clam chowder and not long after we got settled, our food was delivered by Teddy himself. Everything was hot, fresh, DELICIOUS and just as I remembered it. We got fish, clam chowder, fries, coleslaw and hush puppies. Teddy checked on us multiple times as we enjoyed our food. He was simply the sweetest and deserves a raise! I really hope this location stays for years to come, and maybe, SOMEDAY, I can get my location back. Until then, I will happily make the drive from lacey to Puyallup for some good ol skippers. Don't change skippers, never change.

Ok so it has been over 3 years since going here. Well, I read a review there were new owners & it was much better. So my wife & I were going shopping & thought we'd stop by & try it. She worked at one in Issaquah when she was a teen (I won't say how long ago since I value my life), so we went in @ 3pm on Sunday afternoon. Apparently others had read the review also because they were very busy. We had the skippers platter with shrimp, clam strips, sweet coleslaw, a piece of fish & fries. We bumped it up to a combo which gave a bowl of chowder & drink. For 2 meals it was less than $50. Next week they told us they'll be going to fresh battered fish. We highly recommend these people. The staff is friendly, helpful, & the food is hot & fresh.
