Great food and excellent quality! I ordered the Salmon Tamaki, the Shinya Rice, and the Tori Horumon Combo, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and delicious. Definitely a place I’d come back to.

I came here whilst on vacation and it seemed to be the right fit. We were looking for a drink and some good food after a long day of sightseeing. The waitress was very attentive and the restaurant was bustling. We ordered a few skewers and the katsudon. The skewers were quite delicious, you could really taste the flame in the skewers. The katsu however was quite disappointing. It was dry and the panko crust was a tad overcooked and salty.

There is true joy in a calming meal. There is even greater joy in a cozy late night meal. We're greatly looking forward to our next visit, and I would like to say an extra thank you to Kim, who was refreshingly enthusiastic and kind. I hope my more exhausted maner didn't seem like I was disappointed in my meal. I was very pleased and inspired, Shinya Shokudō is definitely worth gate keeping to be sure but joy is best shared.
