Another great meal at the Melrose and as always the service was fantastic. I had the Ribeye, my wife the NY, both cooked exactly as requested. For those who've never been, don't expect El Gaucho like ambiance, but it's prices, serving sizes, and casual feel make it a great pick for a good steak dinner in the south end. Mainly street parking, so get there a bit early as it might take a few extra minutes to find a spot.
The Melrose is not only a staple of Renton but by far top tier in service, atmosphere and quality of food at a fair price. I highly recommend avoiding the drive into Seattle to find a quality steakhouse when there is an amazing steakhouse right here in the neighborhood.
As always, the Melrose is an unforgettable experience. My wife and I were there last night for our 50th anniversary. As we like to do, we sat in the bar area. Yes, the food was amazing, as always, but the bartender was the biggest reason we'll be back. I'm pretty sure the bartenders name was Paul, but he had tattoos, a beard and shaved head.
