The Melrose is not only a staple of Renton but by far top tier in service, atmosphere and quality of food at a fair price. I highly recommend avoiding the drive into Seattle to find a quality steakhouse when there is an amazing steakhouse right here in the neighborhood.

As always, the Melrose is an unforgettable experience. My wife and I were there last night for our 50th anniversary. As we like to do, we sat in the bar area. Yes, the food was amazing, as always, but the bartender was the biggest reason we'll be back. I'm pretty sure the bartenders name was Paul, but he had tattoos, a beard and shaved head. This place is freakin GREAT!!! A friend of mine, his nephew is one of the owners, so I took my lady to dinner to support friends and fam. It is expensive, which I don't do but every couple years or so. But I'll be taking my other lady friends here again soon.
For as snazzy as it is, there's no dress code, which surprised me. I got dressed up for it and felt over dressed compared to the other patrons. But that's OK.
