My daughter and I go here every other week. She loves the veggie pho, which is brimming w/vegetables...and I get the yellow coconut curry. Spring rolls and crispy garlics wing are so good.
We popped into Papaya on a rainy evening to cure our pho craving and we’ll most definitely be back. The pho broth was rich and flavorful with tender, thin slices of beef. The vermicelli with garlic steak was so refreshing with chunks of cucumber, crunchy romaine, and slices of carrot with a good amount of juicy steak.
The food is the reason to come here, and on that front it genuinely delivers. I had the beef tendon pho and the grilled shrimp skewers on vermicelli salad, both were excellent. The pho broth was deep and properly made, the tendon cooked to the right texture, and the vermicelli salad was fresh and well-balanced. This is the kind of quality that would cost significantly more at a restaurant in Seattle proper, and it's worth knowing about if you're in the Renton area.
