The River Rock Grill & Ale House at the Maplewood Golf Course is a lovely venue to dine at in Renton, WA. Casual, relaxed, PNW menu and classic All-American fare. Perfect for a relaxing meal or business meeting. I really wanted to like River Rock Grill. I've eaten breakfast and lunch in the last week. The food is utterly forgettable. I like diner food. I have no problem eating the same thing every day. It's not just predictable, the meals were just meh.
If the service was good, the food quality could be overlooked. But, neither server showed any indication of having been trained. There's a lot more to it than taking orders and delivering food. This makes me think...

Food, drinks, service and atmosphere was all good. They sold out of the R & R Mixed but I got a Steak Salad, artichoke dip ($17 kind of pricey) and a glass of wine and husband got the Seafood Mix with Ice Tea total $89
I will be returning. Make a reservation!
