The 5 taco special was PERFECT for an early dinner. The tacos came with grilled onions and half a jalapeño and it was delicious with the chicken. I will be back!

I thought I was coming to Taqueria el Gym but it’s now called a different name and I’m sure owned by other people anyways… I also thought the food would be the same I ordered a Taco Plate and it was not good. I should have took a picture. The old owners added lettuce it tasted more fresh and was just soooo good! So because of that I will not be coming back unfortunately.

I'm giving this 5* because community restaurants need to thrive, but I also would like to give my honest review as a Mexican from Southern California. The food itself is good, but the way I will describe Seattle Mexican food is, it's good enough to give you an idea of what real Mexican food is like, but it's missing that gives it the authenticity.

My mouth didn't water biting into the al pastor, nor did my anticipation for chilaquiles get filled when I ate it. Rather, it tasted good enough to remind me this is the blueprint to good Mexican food, but it's missing the heart that normally comes with it.

If you aren't from Mexico, you will enjoy the change of flavor that is offered. It, by no means is bad Mexican food. San Francisco and the Midwest are notorious for bad Mexican.

I ordered number 32 the tacos. The tacos only had meat and onions nothing else. They gave a side of salsa in a bottle but it was tasteless. Waste of 15$

We ordered take out. We had such a craving for breakfast burritos. I had a vegetarian one and it just was kind of meh. I just wanted some flavor to it. Also there was an odd smell from the wrapper or the paper or something so that kind of put me off. My husband had a chorizo breakfast burrito and really liked his. I will say that the portions were gigantic and the burritos had no shortage of hash browns. It also didn’t take too long to wait a day was reasonably priced. Could be a good spot for a quick bite.

Vegetarian options: They can make vegetarian tacos and burritos.
