La Rancherita Renton is a Mexican restaurant that offers a wide variety of dishes, with a menu that may seem surprisingly extensive for its small kitchen. Upon entering, guests are greeted warmly by the kitchen staff and can choose to sit anywhere. The carne asada, ordered veggie style, comes with delicious, warm tortillas, but the vegetables were not as well-received. The Lengua tacos, however, were a hit. The restaurant also features a salsa bar with tasty salsas, pickled onions, and habaneros, although some of the pickled options were described as not as enjoyable.
During one visit, the quesabirrias were found to be more flavorful than the tacos, although the guacamole served on the side was disappointing. The inclusion of consomé with the quesabirrias was a nice touch. While the service is kind, it may not be the fastest. Unfortunately, the advertised juices were not available.
La Rancherita Renton has been praised for its authentic Mexican food, excellent margaritas, and standout molcajetes. Other popular menu items include pollo chipotle, mango chile margaritas, pupusas, and huevos con chorizo. The owner, Leticia, and the staff are known for their attentive service.
