Food was very good and very inexpensive for sushi. Fresh calamari & shrimp appetizer. Small place, but surprisingly not busy on a Saturday night.

Went to Ara because of the high Google rating….mistake, Terrible ambiance…second floor of a strip mall. Full of clutter and food court feel. Gyosa was dry, overcooked and flavorless. Nigiri was average and Yummy roll was almost inedible. Honestly, Walmart sushi level quality. Not sure why they are getting high ratings because the food was poor.would not return.

This has got to be the strangest location for a restaurant. The food is expensive and not very good.

Didn’t serve us what we ordered forgot to bring us our food. Didn’t follow instructions or communicate properly. Wouldn’t recommend.
Totally forgot our appetizers. Not attentive don’t recommend won’t come back.
Upon entering your greeted with the challenge presented by the location of a 2nd story location over another business. Plenty of seating in a shared, large room. First thing I noticed was no seating at the chef station which seemed considerably taller and less visible than other spots I’ve been to. Upon request the waitress offered a few recommendations. When she added on of their rolls was “big” I assumed it would have a few extra pieces compared to normal specialty rolls. When the rolls were brought out I was greeted by the largest sushi roll dimensionally I’d ever seen. This thing was like a monster burrito meets a sushi roll! Overall the rolls were delicious. Portions were out of this world. The Miso was different enough to bring comments from myself and my guest. Not sure if it was pieces of sourdough added or something else, but I will definitely be inquiring about it next time. Very pleased and looking forward to coming back for a dinner here.
Wheelchair accessibility: It is located up two flights of stairs in a second story.

The food and service was outstanding. You always know you're in an authentic restaurant when the entire family, including the kiddos, are there at the restaurant. The actual restaurant is not the best atmosphere, but I think that adds to the authenticity.

Great sushi and sashimi. The setting is a bit closed in, but the great food makes up for the lack of ambience.

Everything about this place was disappointing. The sushi was not fresh, not cold, and not good. Service was not friendly and not around. The restaurant also appeared dirty. I left wishing I had gone elsewhere.

Little hole in a wall, expected way more from the rave the locals give this place. I am not a huge fan of sushi but I eat it on occasion. This was the worst I have ever had. Maybe it's the best in town but I urge you to travel to try better. If you are not from here don't think it's like what you can really get. Chicken teriyaki is sub par as well. Dry chicken.
