Stopped in for takeout in the middle of a road trip. Barbecue tri-tip pizza was really very good, including the gluten-free crust which was way better than the cardboardlike wheat-free crust I'm used to elsewhere. Everyone else liked their food as much as I did, making it disappear fast with zero leftovers. I had a glass of their high-end Merlot while I waited and it was the best Merlot I can remember having. An excellent meal from an arbitrarily chosen restaurant three minutes...
This is normally one of my go-to spots, but the service on the patio needs serious attention. We sat outside in 96-degree heat because we were told there was no room inside (though there were empty tables visible the whole night). We were basically forgotten about—it took 2.5 hours for a cocktail, two apps, and a dessert. Still love the food here, but being ignored in the summer heat made for a miserable night. Hoping this was just a one-off fluke.
Outstanding food. Could not believe how good those avocado fries were! Cauliflower wings, spot on bites with a drink. Shrimp Mornay, out of this world. Pizza … ooh la la! Genuinely, each plate of food was just heavenly.
Very hospitable staff. Receptive of requests and proactively checked in on the table despite a full house and them being very busy.
