The loaded baked potato with homemade cheese sauce and brisket was excellent. It was full of flavor and balanced. However the baked beans and Gouda Mac and cheese were just okay. We found the sides were lacking. Also it was rather expensive and it was all à la carte and there were no variety plate options available like most barbecue restaurants.
Food is great! Knocked a point off because of how much it is, but you can’t go wrong with Porter’s. Their barbecue sauce is excellent. Our favorite protein is the smoked sausage. The Gouda Mac and cheese is the best side.
Seems like a good place. I only got a baked potato and for some reason they said they can't sell banana pudding to go.
That's money missed out on for them which I spent at Frost Me Sweet bakery down the road instead...delicious.
