Always like to stop by and chat it up with the Locals.The tavern has been there for well over a hundred years.The antique bar is really great!They have a small grill at the end of the bar where they cook lunches and stuff, burgers and fries and that kind of thing.Prices are pretty good. We had four or five years since less than 20 bucks. Nice little place. We'd stop by again.
On our way to Mt Rainier NP we stopped here to grab a bite. From the moment we opened the door we were greeted friendly. It’s a nice and cozy place with great food. It was taco Tuesday so we had tacos and they were delicious. When we’re back in the neighbourhood we’ll stop again for sure.

Well I work at the Brown Shack and I can promise you with complete confidence that non of the employees or the owners would do anything close to what the bad reviews say. I'm not saying the other reviews are wrong. I'm saying that kind of service doesn't exist anymore. We love meeting new people and go out of our way to feed everyone great food.
