I stayed at the Embassy Suites in Seattle, across the street from Amtrak. I didn't want to walk a distance or get a taxi. 13 Coins Seattle was on the bottom floor just right of the entrance. It was busy, so they placed me at the counter. It was where they were cooking the food and making the salads. Having been in food service for over 20 years, it was an excellent seating for watching and listening to the staff. I ate a good dinner and then went back to my room only to get up at 5 am to catch the train.

Great atmosphere and service but beware of the clubhouse sandwich, turkey roll instead of real turkey breast.

I stopped by with some friends after that dumpster fire of a Seahawks game yesterday afternoon.
Our server was Amina and she turned the whole mood around. She was super friendly and gave us some great recommendations (rib eye was top notch).
She was also super attentive and seemed to show up right when we were ready for another round.
If you stop in here, ask for her, she will make your night.
Will definitely be back!

DON'T GO FOR GAME DAY! We showed up 2 hours before the game yet missed kicked off and we didn't even get our food! It was all so frustrating and just a massive let down.

10 minutes: The amount of time we wait in line outside the restaurant to put our name on the waitlist.

25 minutes: the amount of time the hosts said we would have to wait for a table.

55 minutes: The amount of time we ACTUALLY waited until we asked the hosts what was going on.
(They said we cancelled our place in line but we absolutely did not. I showed them my phone where I didn't cancel. They couldn't explain it.)

65 minutes: The amount of time it took be seated at a high traffic community table in their basement.

1 hr 15 min: We gave the server our drink and food order

1 hour 25 minutes: Drinks came (1 coffee, 1 mimosa)

1 hr 45 min: Server asked if we wanted refills, the restaurant clears out to nearly empty as everyone heads to the game.

1 hr 50 min: Refills come, we finally get water for the first time. We ask for the bill so when our food comes we can leave and eat.

TWO HOURS: Foods isn't ready. We ask if we can just pay for what we had and leave. 1 coffee and two mimosas was $50!! We tipped well (we're not jerks, used to be servers ourselves and it wasn't her fault) and ran out of the restaurant. Who knows if our food ever come. We missed the first 10 minutes of the game but it could have been the whole first quarter. I wish we had cut out losses sooner.....

Moral of the long story? Don't go here on game day!!!!! (or at least know that the wait will be triple what they tell you)

13 Coins is a Seattle staple, but I would not recommend coming here before a stadium event. Kitchen isn't even close to being able to handle a full house; 90 minutes to receive undercooked, barely warm food after ordering. Server never refilled water and never asked if we needed more drinks - we had to flag him down.

This place desperately needs more staff or a bigger kitchen that can handle the size of their dining room.

We’ve been here a few times on our travels through Seattle. It usually meets expectations, but this time it was slightly off. Service was a bit rushed and it wasn’t busy. Food was good and it was good enough to come back for a future visit. We were a party of 6 and We had the Chicken Parmesan and chicken and waffles for dinner. Appetizers were zucchini, meatballs and steak bites. Steak bites and meatballs are legit.

Worst Ruben I have a ever had in my life. Broccolaliene was under cooked and drenched in oil. So sad. And I was hungry, but didn't eat.

We were stuck at the train station waiting for an endlessly delayed Amtrak and slowly starving. Went to pick up a grilled chicken sandwich and beef bites - all was done relatively quickly, fresh and very tasty - saved the day.

Was told we had to wait for the rest of our party to arrive, yet we witnessed several others seated and their parties joining afterwards
