Nice little cafe. Loved our waitress. The B&G are great! Next time I'm trying the pancakes!

The “Carrot Cafe” (as my 3 year old calls it) has quickly become a regular weekend breakfast spot in my family’s rotation. Cinnamon Roll French toast via DoorDash drew us in, but the homey atmosphere keeps us coming back IRL. Like any decent breakfast restaurant in Seattle, sometimes weekends can be crowded, long waits, etc. Carrot Cafe has good food AND a mom & pop soul / personality in a town being overtaken by white labeled chains with copy/paste offerings.

My 3YO’s only critique: no carrots on the menu 😆

Super sad to write this review because I usually have very good experiences here. Not today. A busy Saturday (as expected) but every single table received food and drink before we even got to put our order in, let alone get any refills on water and coffee.
Our waiter was rude, blunt, and made no effort to communicate our food being late or to apologize for it. The only thing they didn’t struggle bringing to the table was the check for 80 dollars.
When our food arrived it was cold, there was hash browns cooked into my pancakes and the rest of the table was left feeling unsatisfied with what was clearly food left off the grill for way too long.
Hopefully when we come back we won’t experience this again. Disappointing to say the very least :(

This place was an absolutely amazing experience. The signature carrot cake pancakes were fantastic, and my gluten free partner had chickpea cakes that were also PHENOMINAL! Best chicken fried steak I've had in the PNW. the gravy is insane!!!!!

If you're nearby, this is the spot to check out!

I used to love coming to 14 Carrot cafe with my spouse and even our dogs — it always felt like such a welcoming spot. That’s why I was so excited to take my in-laws while they were in town. But this time, the experience felt completely different. The service we received was disappointing and honestly left me feeling hurt. It seemed like we were being treated differently than others around us.

It’s hard to put into words how uncomfortable that felt, especially when I wanted to share a place I once really enjoyed. What used to feel warm and inviting now feels tainted by this experience, and that makes me really sad.

Food was great, but watch out with the bill. If you pay using the ticket QR code they will pre compute tips using the amount including tax as the base, and they will also add over $3 as a credit card charge

Classic case of a busy Sunday. Food was good but it took forever to receive it (50 minutes). A little disappointing to see people arrive after us get fed before us and for the food to be cold. Not sure what the mix up was there. I live super close so look forward to giving them another shot soon.

Visiting from NJ. Place was amazing but the jam was even better! Our server Madison was an Allstar! She was extremely busy but didn’t flinch. You wouldn’t be able to tell because she had her composure. Go Madison!

Great old diner experience with great food. Had the tuna melt with house chips and loved it. It made 2 meals for me.

Cute little diner! I really like their carrot cake pancakes, which are certainly indulgent for breakfast, but you can order just a single one which is nice. The other breakfast staples I tried, bacon and hash browns, are also solid. And if pancakes aren't the sweet treat you're craving, their cinnamon roll and classic carrot cake are both superb.
