Feels understaffed every time I have been here. Food is touch and go on what's just ok or excellent. Parking is minimal and a real pain so make sure you're paying attention especially if you park in visitor parking of the apartment complex next door or your car will be trapped at 6pm. Surrounding neighborhood has lots of parking restrictions too and the lot for the tavern is like 10 spaces or so. Clearly they depend mostly on neighborhood people walking there.
This is a nice casual restaurant with great food and drink choices. I rate them all highly, and yet left with a figurative bad taste in my mouth because they frustratingly add a 25% fee to your bill. It's a tricky way take more of your dollars while also showing a lower menu price for items. So, your delicious fried polenta that is listed at $14 on the menu is actually $17.50. No wait, add 10% sales tax so the increase on your bill is actually 27.5%.......$14 polenta is...
Pretty cool place, relatively new, great adult beverage selection, friendly open atmosphere. Ya gotta try the roasted asparagus. Yumm 😋 also had Mac n cheese. Really good also.
