Alive with friends, it is a quintessential local watering hole. The food is okay, but a few tweaks could help it. For example the hamburger comes on a roll that is too big, usually dry, hard, and simply doesn't add to the experience, no matter how much care goes into the patty. In general the menu is tired and doesn't get much attention, even though it is a big part of the ale house. There is a new place going in across the street, related to Ridgewood by the Red Mill Burger joint. Competition is welcome and needed, but I feel the pricing at the new place will be high, like Ridgewood, and the regular Ale House crowd will stay put. The Ale House clientele seems to be in the 50s. I like it in general, now lean more on the tap beers and eat before coming in.

One of my favorite spots in greenwood! Great service, beer selection, and beautiful bar. Food is always great, got the curried salmon chowder. They don't gouge you on prices, either, thankfully!

Visiting Seattle, this restaurant was recommended by my sister. I ordered something like the clam spaghetti, which was rich and delicious. The middle-aged man who ordered the food remained enthusiastic and was not nervous about strangers like us who were not familiar with English. The seats were packed during meal time, everyone was chatting relaxedly, and the atmosphere was great!

I love this place! The blackened salmon on the goat cheese salad is incredible. The rotating soups and specials are also always good. They have been great about food allergies.

We enjoyed our dinner! The Caesar salad dressing was delicious...great garlic flavor. The blackened salmon was also flavorful. We had beer with our dinner, but it's nice they offer mixed drinks as well. The only negative was that parking was a challenge...not a deal breaker, though. We will definitely come back to the 74th St Ale House as there are other intriguing items on the menu that we would like to try!

This is our go to pub! The food is especially good for a rainy day in Seattle (not sure what that says about London…lol) the staff are very accommodating and friendly. Lots of old codgers like me are there (so maybe not a place for the kiddies, though I’m sure they are welcome).Parking: It’s on Greenwood so there is some parking on this main arterial, but most often we park in the neighborhood. Be careful, in Seattle they will tow if you violate by parking within 5 feet of a driveway.
