Ordered a pie 3 weeks ahead of time for my husband’s bday. When I showed up to pick up, they handed me a pie that had been baked 2 days earlier for “pie” day on 3/14. The crust was soggy and decorated for the pseudo holiday 2 days earlier. Crust was super soggy and the whole thing utterly underwhelming for a $50 pie. Thought they were THE place for excellent pies but it was no better than Safeway but super pricey.

I’ve gotten quite a few different pies and all were delicious. The last pie I got was the coconut cream. Unlike their other pies, the crust was tough and not at all flaky. It’s almost as if they forgot to cook the crust. Very disappointing because the crust is critical to a good pie. I’ll give them another shot because other pies have been excellent. I also got their chicken pot pies. Perfect crust. Creamy filling. Delicious.

Fine, but not $9/slice pie. I wish I got cookies for dessert instead.

We went to the phinney location religiously for years. got two pies for thanksgiving this year - they were nowhere close on quality coming out of this kitchen. The crust was poor (absent for the pumpkin pie?) Both were just kind of sugary buttery messes. What the hell happened? A la mode was the best... I'm sad to say this, but at 38 bucks a pop, I'm not sure if we'll ever be back. They certainly won't get another shot at the holidays... I think we can do better at home, maybe even the QFC. Sigh.

This place is a joke and it’s a crying shame for this place to call themselves a business. They’re a socialist charity and they perpetuate the toxic service culture in Seattle whereby you get gouged and find yourself donating to some cold waiter or barista behind the counter. Total virtue signal selling pie for $38 while cheerleading the “Support small business movement.” We had a pumpkin pie on Thursday for thanksgiving from Whole Foods that we paid $13 for which was better. What I love is places like this are stood up and supported by people who claim that they can’t afford rent and their student loan repayments. Well duh, you’re paying $38 for pie and $8 per morning for your latte from this place. This wasn’t a purchase, this was robbery.Go study economics please and learn how economies of scale works. You’ll sell more pies and attract reoccurring customers.

We Wanted to try this location and comparing it to our past experience with Phinney location it is disappointing. The place is not kept clean and I could make a much better latte at home. The pie was good. Not coming back again.
Ordered a full pie and a slice from these shysters for $49 plus all fees. $65 They sent 2 small slices only, didn’t answer the phone or respond to my email. When I finally reached them the next day they showed less than zero concern and told me to call the delivery company. Delivery companies don’t go into stores open cases and pack food anywhere. They showed a lack of caring or willingness to be accountable for their own mistakes at Ala Mode Pies. Our weekly pie orders here are done, we will find a shop that sells super overpriced pies somewhere else. But it will be a place that values their customers at least. Don’t buy from here.

Great tasting pies, very unique flavors.

Broad selection of pies, single slice is good sized which is great for sharing.

I would die if I couldn't eat their Mexican Chocolate Pie ever again.

I tried the sour cherry and peach pie and was disappointed in both. The peach pie was not nearly sweet or flavourful enough; the sour cherry filling tasted good but the crust of both pies were made with oil instead of butter- they had no sweetness and were not flaky or tender.I had hoped to buy a whole pie- there was no way to sample them so I had to buy a slice of each to try them. Thank goodness I did! I would have been really mad if I came home with that peach pie!
