Delicious food, welcoming staff and a comfortable, friendly atmosphere. So glad we decided to wander in. The chef's surprise was delightful ?

Great taste of japanese fresh food. Bento boxes are a must if you are looking forward to taste most of the bites in the menu. Highly recommended to end after a journey though the market.

Food was okay and good for a hang out place in downtown area.We wanted though to sit on a different table but they told us all the other tables were reserved while there were only 3 customers. We sat on a table and during the time we were there, no one showed up for the reserved tables. I think they could easily swap our table with the empty one. Regardless I think 4 starts is fair review.

I was able to have dinner with friends on NYE, and it was just spectacular. The staff is warm, the Owner was kind enough to say hello to the table, and we had a great time.We ordered quite a bit of food, including the Omakase (pictured), and we were absolutely impressed with the freshness of the fish, and the quality of the cuts. A couple of non-nigiri stand outs included the delicious shrimp shumai and one of the chef's appetizers, that had several fishes, avocado, and more all in one tasty bite, and the Aburi tower is a can't miss.. We had some great toro, scallop carpaccio, uni, I could go on. If you are in the market and want some really fresh and tasty food in a non-touristy environment, this is the place.

Service was pretty quick. Food is good for the price but it's not mind blowing or anything. I got the nigiri bento lunch special.

Cute bento spot near Pike Place Market. I ordered the Sake Box, which was one of their signature bento boxes, and it was $45 after tax and tip. For the price, especially for lunch, I don't think it was really worth the money when we have so many great sushi spots in the area. However, the service was fast and friendly and the sushi was fresh and tasty.

Took forever to serve food , the all you can eat was horrible. They didn't serve water until towards the end. The rice of the sushi and rolls were all falling apart so leftover some rice and they charged $5 leftover food fee. Even thought I explained the rice was bad so I left it over. They said sorry we can't do much. Worst restaurant I've been. Do not go here. Took over an hour to get food as well.

My husband and I had a date night here and we really enjoyed the food and ambiance. Service was also welcoming and friendly. The interior is modern and clean. Food:To start I got some hot green tea.We ordered the Aburi tower which was fresh and very flavorful. For our main we both got the 9pc aburi nigiri box which was perfect! Comes with salad and miso soup. The nigiri box had a really tasty assortment of items and their sushi rice was very good as well! Overall, we really enjoyed our meal and the vibes here!

Delicious! Their fish is super fresh and high quality. The Aburi Nigiri box was a table favorite, and the presentation/aesthetic quality is certainly incomparable.

Ambiance: a very Japanese/modern vibe at this restaurant.Service: Per usual. Greeted with friendly smile and was inviting.Good: the sashimi quality was quite good here! I especially enjoyed the salmon and unagi! I got the 16 piece sashimi bento box and a feel special sashimi. Presentation was wonderful. Definitely a must return for their daily specials!

Really excellent and affordable lunch spot close to Pike Place Market. The restaurant is quiet and spacious, which can be a nice break for those visiting the Market or those on lunch. Service was quick and friendly.

The only one star is for the service and the dessert. The sushi was really BAD even in Seattle. We ordered restaurant week special along with other items. When reading thru the menu you can quickly realize this is a specialized sushi place. They have mainly serve nigiris and rolls. Which I’d expect “okay quality” sushi. The restaurant week special and other items we ordered was almost all nigiris, which is simply BAD.The rice was so hard, some of them was even undercooked. Not only hard but the rice also always falls apart, I had a hard time to dip the fish portion to the soy sauce. And as soon as the giniri was upside down, the fish and rice falls apart too. All of the above are simply objective facts. The subjectives: fish quality was bad too, ebi(shrimp) was clearly frozen, salmon wasn’t really salmon, tuna was artificially colored and frozen. So really, I can’t even say if there’s any part good with their sushi. I’d even go do Kura, the revolving sushi place. The service was warm especially the lady was nice to us, so thank you! But they are really understaffed, took 35min to see the appetizer, 45min to see the main. The restaurant week was not really cheaper than ordering thise a la cart, the 9 piece bento was more expensive than ordering them a la cart. So I’m sure the owner is pretty good at math. They change 18% tip (which is fine, but) not noted to us beforehand. Over all the price was close to $200 for two. Similar price you can get aincomparable quality of food in ilovesushi bellevue, or for half of the price you can get a similar but better quality food in Kura.

Drawn by the aesthetic 9 pc nigiri box from many months back, I finally got to try this place because of the appeal of value from Seattle restaurant week special. For $35 during lunch, I got salmon tataki, 9 pc nigiri box (which is almost $35 normally), and caramelized banana for dessert. The salmon tataki starter was fairly good - it was fresh and served along a soy sauce that is fairly tangy. Everything went downhill after. The 9 pc nigiri box has a combination of fresh and seared nigiri, each of which are fairly large so 9 pcs of nigiri is actually a satisfying meal. This time, they served sea bream, yellowtail, seared escolar, shrimp, tamago, tuna, shrimp, amberjack, and albacore, from left to right top to bottom of the 3x3 box. It is not just plain nigiri - for example, they topped the tuna with rosemary and the yellowtail with jalapeño. My favorite was the seared escolar as it had a nice smoky flavor. The rice was not too cooked so it felt a bit hard and so easy to fall apart. The dessert was fairly decent. My friend happened to come after so we sat next to each other at the bar and he got a different dessert, the green tea mochi ice cream. The caramelized banana is slightly buttery and not too sweet, and I personally preferred that dessert over the mochi ice cream, as the mochi ice cream is just taken out of the freezer so it wasn't all that special. What docked another star was how excruciatingly slow service is. I personally do not mind normally as I can just talk to friends, but first, it is lunch, so it is supposed to be quick as the restaurant is not busy at all, and second, they force you to pay 18% gratuity for SRW menu, so they can just get away with poor service yet you cannot really do much else. That is not okay - if you are mandating gratuity, at least show to customers that they deserve it. Our lunch lasted almost 2 hours, but the amount of food served can easily be consumed for a fraction of that time, even if the food must be made to order (which I prefer nonetheless).
