Food was good, a little bland. Though the baked clams were excellent. We had the halibut and some sides. Good, made in a straight-forward style, not much in the way of interesting seasonings or sauces. We had a patio table but there was a large loud table of 10 that blocked the ability of the waiter to serve us, kinda ruined the vibe a little. Staff was friendly.

I've enjoyed eating here with my stays at the adjacent hotel, but the JC Chicken Sandwich was incredible, filling and enormous with a side of fried. The service was friendly and outstanding. Several remembered me from last week when I stayed prior to my Alaska cruise, which made things feel friendlier. It was an overall great experience, and a nice way to return from a great trip.

I've always loved Hotel 1000. They recently remodeled, and it looks really nice—very modern. However, the downside is that their food and drinks are not as good as they used to be. I've heard their brunch is great, so I plan to go back for that.
