Really delicious coffee and relaxing seating area to read, work, or visit with friends. Pick up a bottle of wine to serve with dinner or dessert from the extensive cellar that includes many non alcohol options.
This is a charming coffee shop that also has an interesting assortment of bottles of wine from various areas for sale (check out the vermouth varieties from Spain). My go to, regular drip coffee, was very good, and triple shot vanilla latte was also smooth and excellent. Artsy/hip area (clean and safe) to walk around, too. Very friendly service with a local vibe. Nice, relaxing place to sit and sip, or visit with others. Worth the visit.
I love this place because their baked goods are ten stars, and the coffee is usually good.
I'm docking a star for some customer service stuff, as follows:
The manager insists on making customers who bring their own mugs pour the coffee from a ceramic mug into their own mug over a trash can. She insists this is more sanitary, saves work, and that all the coffee shops are doing it. I frequent at least ten such establishments around Ballard...
