Armistice Roosevelt was good, although the customer service could be a lot better. The coffee shop itself was a little sterile and didn’t have a cozy or homey feel, but the coffee was pretty good and they had a selection of pastries. The place is nice and clean and has a modern look, but the service was just OK and I don’t know if the servers were tired or just grumpy. Overall, we thought the coffee was good and worth the visit.

I used to be a regular at this café, but after today, I don’t think I’ll return. When I went to pay using Apple Pay, the staff member started to say something, but before she could finish, the transaction went through automatically because of Face ID — it was very fast. She then blamed me for paying “too quickly” and told me not to do that next time, in a rather unfriendly tone. I had already paid the full amount and even left a tip, yet I was made to feel like I had done something wrong. If there’s a specific procedure, it should be explained clearly and politely before the payment — not scolded afterward. It was an unpleasant experience that made me feel unwelcome, which is unfortunate given how often I used to come here.

For the prices they charge, I would expect them to be able to actually *microwave* a breakfast burrito until it is warm.

Well designed space and the coffee is incredible.

Coffee a bit too strong for my taste. Barista said it was the change of oatmilk. But still seemed pretty rude and annoyed with me for asking for more milk

This seems like a nice place to hang out with friends, get a coffee, or read. But the food and drink is more expensive than other comparable coffee shops, and I personally didn't enjoy working here on my laptop. (Choose your seats wisely)

Almond croissant was delicious but it is $6.57 including tax. 8oz tea is imo outrageously expensive at $4.20. It's a tea bag and hot water. Maybe the coffee is more worth it. They also don't clearly show pastry prices which I find shady.

Vibes are okay - quirky and industrial with personality, and they were playing what I think was Egyptian dance music or something like it. I wasn't a big fan of the interior layout, it feels a little narrow and cramped. The outdoor patio is gorgeous though and I'd probably hang out there during warmer months.

For working remotely:
- The Wi-Fi was fast (160mbps) but not the most reliable. Someone was able to take a Teams video call, but for some reason I could only access Slack or social media until I saw someone leave. DNS resolution issue or whatever. That was annoying but I'm glad it magically resolved itself after 20 mins.
- Yes there are outlets
- A lot of seating is designed to be so your back is against the window. If you're working on a laptop, it's difficult to see anything on it unless you crank up the brightness. Very small complaint but I'd prefer regular bar seating facing the windows.
- The bench seats with green padding are rock hard. I sat for maybe 1 hour and my tailbone felt bruised afterwards which has never happened to me. Other seating options were limited on a Friday afternoon, unfortunately.

Service was fine I guess. My table was dirty and they didn't seem to wipe down the tables between guests. You need to bus your own table as well, so seeing the tip options by dollar amount instead of % is kinda 🤨

If you have $ to spend and you like the darker industrial vibes of this place, or just want some very good (though expensive) croissants, this is a nice spot. But I think there are better coffee shops around.

Spacious with good wifi and plenty of seating. Includes tax in the total which makes tip calculations easy.

Such a lovely spot! They have some pastries, good coffee + drinks, super nice baristas, and alcoholic drinks too! Nice to have a place like this that is open late.

Y’all have got to staff two people behind the bar. One person for orders and making coffees means I wait 9 mins to take an order and your one person staffed is super stressed

The barista seemed annoyed by our existence, and the pastries were refrigerated. Nice coffee but won’t go back.

Barista was grumpy and you could tell she didn’t want to be there… I ordered a brewed coffee and it was not good. $4 for a not so fresh coffee. It’s sad because the atmosphere could have so much potential.
