Great food and prompt , friendly service with nice ambience. Vegetarian friendly - almost all pastas can be made without meat except lasagna. Prices were decent, given the location and quality.
Restaurant was walkable from our hotel in downtown Seattle. Good Italian food at generally good prices. Popular place. Nice atmosphere.
We arrived early to get diner before our show at the symphony. The food was good but nothing special. We asked split the Black Cod and they did it nicely. The fish was well prepared but nothing exceptional. I had a drink from their menu and it was very light on the gin and mostly ice. Disappointing. Our server was not very friendly or inviting. Adequate best. It sure if we just had an off night. No sure if we will go back.
Overall environment is cozy and aside from tight spacing between tables, we had a pleasant experience dining at Assaggio on a Saturday night. Both the sautéed calamari and carpaccio are delicious, and I love the chef special pasta dish. Highly recommended to give a try in DT Seattle.
Our food was terrific. Everything and more than we expected and would gladly go back anytime.
Food was fantastic, and the price point for the quality was on point. A lot of people like el gacho, but I think this place has better tasting food and for a much better price. Service was also great. 10/10, I have no complaints and recommend this place to anyone who enjoys good food.
Good location and 7/10 ambience (not as good as I was hoping for). 5/10 for service because felt like they were just in a hurry for us to order even though we were at like 7 pm. Also little bit of a smile would go long way if you are in a service industry. 8/10 for food.
We loved this place! It had the old Italy charm, great food and great service! We had minestrone soup, veal parmigiana, and limoncello dessert. All yummy!
Awesome, as expected. Superb food, service. Wine is amazing. Never fails to deliver. Does get a bit loud when it fills up, but that's the only minor minor issue
Multiple problems on Saturday night that impacted our dining experience, including an unidentified "problem in the kitchen." People at the next table could not order pizza because it was not available. An Italian restaurant without pizza! The Brunello wine was not available. We will be looking for other places in Seattle, but will not give up on Assaggio, yet.

We went to Assaggio because our experience has been that it's a classic Italian restaurant and has consistently good food. We enjoyed our meal. The service was fine, but not exemplary. The pricing is still too much, but Assaggio is in the mid-range of Seattle pricing. The meal we had would be $80-$100 anywhere else, but cost us $170. We had a very pleasant dinner but not worth what we paid.
If you want authentic Italian fare from start to finish, Assagio is the "go to" in Seattle. I've been coming here for over 20 years and have never had a meal that was less than exceptional. Francesca and Antonio really go the extra mile to make you feel like family when you walk in the door. This is a "must go" for anyone that loves great Italian food and atmosphere!
Wonderful seafood pappardelle and ravioli Marsala. The owner greeted us personally and was very attentive.
Charming, Italian bistro with high ceilings, personal artwork and photos creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. We ate outside and had a wonderful dinner with delicious pasta, seafood risotto and the lasagna. Would highly recommend for a lovely dinner.
Great food! Nice waiter. Even though they were short handed, we were impressed that everything came on time and our waiter was not flustered.
