Mediocre tapas. Expensive so its fair to have high expectations. Wont go back for food drinks good but $16 plus mandatory 23% pretty ridiculous.
Excellent date night place! Service was attentive, but not overbearing, food was excellent (Shout out to the oysters, octopus, and brûlée) and the ambience was relaxing, with enough design and elegance to provide structure, but not stuffiness.
First time finally trying Bar Sur Mer. Was just the perfect evening for happy hour cocktails and small plates of food. Our server was outstanding and suggested great items to try. Don't skip the little potatoes, the mushrooms or the oysters. I want to go back and try more! The cocktails were creative and well balanced. So much to go back for! Loved it all.
AMAZING mixologist! Attentive service. Lively atmosphere. You must try the Basque cheesecake.
Two friends and I enjoyed a Mamas' Night Out at Bar Sur Mer on a recent Thursday evening. The restaurant/bar feels a bit elevated, which is a nice break from our chaotic lives as mothers to very young kiddos. One friend tried orange wine for the first time and was a big fan (I've tried many an orange wine and have had 50/50 luck, but I tasted hers and I can vouch, it was delicious!), my other friend enjoyed a couple glasses of white wine, and I really enjoyed the unique flavors of two cocktails: Siren's Song (it is LIME green...so unexpected and fun) and Yellow Bell-Bottoms (includes yellow bell pepper...so crisp and refreshing). We shared the Seawolf Baguette, Wood-Fired Hongos (out-of-this world mushrooms...sweet, tangy, and a tiny hint of heat), and the Charred Mediterranean Octopus. One friend has been working hard lately to expand her palate, and this was a great opportunity for her to try some new things among safe company :) Our waiter was an absolute joy. The restaurant wasn't too full, but it should have been more full based on the delicious taste and presentation of the food and drinks! Looking forward to returning soon! 12/10 recommend.
Omg!!! I can’t say enough great things about this beautiful restaurant. Not only are both the bartenders extremely talented, knowledgeable and friendly, but the food is absolutely amazing!!! This is the best place to grab a tapas and cocktail in Greenwood. 10/10 would recommend!!

You know when you go out to eat, and expect to be dazzled? That happens here. The music was popping when we came in. Not too loud, just perfect. Our waiter was attentive, informative and friendly. Then the food came….this is what we expect when dining out. We expect that someone curated some ingredients in an artistic chefy fashion, cooked them to perfection and brought them to us at a perfect temperature. This is true food artistry. Our mouths had and excellent adventure this evening. Cocktails? Amazing crafted concoctions as well. You should go here. We will be back. A lot.

You know that feeling, when you go to a restaurant you’ve been looking forward to, and the food comes, and all you can think is “I can cook that, and mine is actually better”….? I did not have one single moment like that at Bar Sur Mer. Not even close. It’s the type of dining experience I always hope for. A transcendent series of food revelations. Amazing tapas with meticulously curated flavors, ingredients, textures and colors. Same goes for the imaginative cocktails. This place is amazing!

My goodness what an excellent spot, always feel very well taken care of, the cocktails that Sara makes are out of this world, and Josiah is such a charmer, hope to be back many more times to this gem of a spot!

The staff at Bar Sur Mer went above and beyond. I have an allium intolerance. Sarah marked up my menu to show me all the dishes with onions, shallots, leeks, and chives. Our waiter, Josiah, was excellent and suggested great seafood and cocktail options. Everything was delicious.

It was fantastic. Our server (so sorry I forgot your name) was awesome. He gave us the right balance of space and attention. All the food was amazing. It's been a busy week and I forget the names of the dishes we had but it was the tartare, lamb crepenite (didn't spell that correctly), baguette, and octopus. Everything was phenomenal, as should be expected from any experience within the CircleSpey sphere.
This spot has been around for a few years and every time we’d drive by we’d say “we need to go there.” Well, we finally did and are SO glad we did! It’s insanely delicious. The cocktails are great, the food is even better, plus an amazing friendly atmosphere. I will dream of the mushroom dish. Only wish we would’ve gone sooner, highly recommend!

We had a great experience! The waiter was kind and very knowledgeable, and the space was absolutely gorgeous with tables sized big enough to fit the different plates. The standout dish was the Crème Catalana, had lots of flavor including thyme which was an unexpected delight. We also got a dish with heirloom tomatoes, pickled plums and manchego that was delicious.
I think it would be a great first date spot!
Excited to go back

This was the best meal I’ve had in Seattle in MONTHS - maybe even years! We got about 7 dishes and everything was absolutely impeccable, including the service and the experience. RUN!
