Bastille Cafe & Bar is such an hidden gem! I was introduced to the back bar by one of my partners in crime. It's an unassuming spot with a uber cool atmosphere. It's surrounded by dark, rich wood, you almost don't feel like you're in Seattle. So to get here, you have to pass through the main dining area, as if you're on your way to the bathrooms, but to the left of the men's bathroom is the doorway into the Back Bar! After work I went with a friend to have a drink at the back bar at Bastille. The atmosphere is nice. The service is excellent. If you're in Ballard looking for a place to have a drink or get something to eat give Bastille a try.

Bastille is an excellent French Bistro. Their brunch is always satisfying and reasonably priced, and their cocktails are superb! The duck confit is sublime, as is the croque madame. They do French comfort food very well.
