I should have written this years ago when my friends and I were traveling. While touring Seattle, we stopped here for a few bites to eat and were blown away by how good the taiyaki here were. I swear if you ever expand out to the east coast (specifically recommending philly for this, as they're known for international food and don't have the high rent rates of NYC), I would be stopping by religiously - these taiyaki are that good. Traditional AND fusion filling options...

I have walked past BeanFish everytime I go into Uwajimaya. I finally gave it a go today and holy cow, this place is amazing. The bacon fish thing? Awesome! The hot dog one? Even better. The fruity pebble one? Blew. My. Mind. And Spam fries?!? As a Spam lover and borderline connoisseur, I thought I'd seen it all but these were positively world altering. Thank you BeanFish, I will never just walk past again.

Freshly made taiyaki (fish-shaped waffles). The batter’s similar to bubble waffle: light, eggy, and aromatic with crispy frilly edges. They’re extremely generous with the filling to the point that the taiyaki can’t seal and close up properly. A bit excessive but delicious.

In addition to the traditional anko and custard options, BeanFish offers fun wacky fillings like BEC and ramen. The savory options looked like full meals.
