OMG YES! I went to Big Chickie for the first time a few weeks back and I keep thinking about the delicious meal! Essentially, guests can order 1/4, 1/2, or a whole chicken with some sides to share. I shared a 1/2 chicken meal with a friend. We got the 1/2 chicken with yucca fries, mashed potatoes, and beans and rice. Everything was amazing! The 2 person meal comes with two sauces. I had the mild sauce, and I LOVED it. By the end of the meal I was dipping everything in that sauce. The chicken itself was juicy and well flavored. The mashed potatoes were hearty and came with thick and delicious gravy. I was literally in heaven. I think it's super easy to drive by Big Chickie, but I would 100% recommend stopping in sometime for an amazing meal!

Whole family came here for lunch. They advertise as being Peruvian style pollo a la brasa. I think they represent well. The chicken is moist and charbroiled perfectly. Their salads are delicious and fairly authentic. I appreciate their aji amarillo- it has the right flavor without burning my face off. Their white sauce is pretty righteous too. The cornbread is delicious. The empanadas are also very good, their chicken and corn/cheese were winners. I will be back.

Good quick food. Don't worry about the bees just give them a piece off to the side and they wont bother you. I order vegan entries and my meal is good.

Love how they did the seating. They have outdoor seating and outdoor seating with a roof. It has a festive atmosphere with a simple wooden table and folding chairs. As for the food, I had the manager's special which has the quarter chicken and two sauces. It comes with coleslaw and yellow rice n beans. The chicken was well seasoned, coleslaw is fresh and crunchy, and the rice n beans ... well it's just rice and beans. Oh yeah, and two bite sized pieces of cornbread. They have a handful of choices of sauces to choose from. Their empanadas are fried to order making them fresh and crispy. I had the Chicken with cheese, and beef. I preferred the beef cause it was juicy. A great place to bring a group of friends or to just try Peruvian food.

So, my family and I drove from Tacoma in hopes of getting some deliciously authentic Peruvian cuisine. That did NOT happen. My family and I ordered the quarter dark with yellow rice and black beans, sweet potatoes, collard greens and fries. I was a bit skeptical when my family and I pulled up on a Saturday evening and there wasn't one customer inside. We decided to try it anyway . The chicken is dry and underwhelming , the beans and rice had no flavor...it's important to salt your water when making both beans and rice. The sweet potatoes were flavorful, but they could've used a drizzle of olive oil or butter... something to add some umph!!! Good Peruvian chicken is finger licking good with yummy seasonings and well seasoned sides. Overall, this was a dry meal $70 meal for a family of five. KFC would've been better than this.

So other people did not know that Big Chickie was Peruvian and they thought it was southern when they stopped. I did not stop because I thought it was southern and did not stop. I would have if I had know it was Peruvian. Also I have not eaten here so ignore my rating.

Great casual place with a unique character and taste. From roasted chickens to a lighter fare of empanadas. The side options are great. Love the yucca fries and quite a bit of veggies option- kale apple salad, collard green potatoes and coleslaw are all pretty good. The roasted chicken has good flavor. Prefers the chicken empanadas more than the cheese and corn (personal preference). The plantain pudding is pretty good too. Overall food is above average and love the casual vibe with drinks, pet and kiddos. Will return!

Dope spot for a lunch plate. The sides are delicious. Great place for a vegetarian feast too.

This is just overpriced Costco rotisserie chicken. Go somewhere else if you can.

It was pretty good, I like the vibe for sure, its a walk up style and there are a lot of choices. I personally found the food to be extremely seasoned for Peruvian food, but it was good.

We often go here, as it's close and convenient and the food is so good! Last night we arrived just before their posted closing time, hungry as bears, and they treated us just as they would mid-day ... not "we're closing, go away," like some places do. Had a great meal with friendly service as always. Everything on the menu is fresh and yummy.
