This is a great place to come on a sunny day. I loved the outside patio, it was really spacious and the bright colors made it very fun. The drinks were really good, I had a passionfruit margarita and I would get it again. Strong drink with a great passionfruit flavor. The food was only okay in my opinion. I tried the fried chicken and was bummed out that it was boneless... it doesn't hit the same for me! But - I would definitely return and recommend this place to others for the vibes. Parking is limited in the lot, but there is usually ample street parking.

If you’re Puerto Rican looking for boriqua food don’t fall for what I fell for!!! They do not serve any Puerto Rican food! I came here because of the reviews saying they serve PR food..and boy was I disappointed!!! Cooks are not Puerto Rican or Caribbean!!! Not even close to Carribean food either!!! They put coleslaw in all the dishes mixing with the food!!! The closest thing to PR food here is tostones. I order the Jamaican fried chicken and it was more like a few pieces of pop corn chicken tossed in sweet chili sauce!! The carribean curry tasted like Thai spiced curry with coconut milk!! Very disappointed!! Cooks need to learn how to plate that food!! You don’t mixed coleslaw in with rice and beans !! Coleslaw should be on side!! Service was ok and manager offer refund (i returned my plate and sons plate)

This place is fun. I had the West Indies sandwich. It was delicious. Loved it. I would definitely recommend and I'll be back

Bongos has very good food and the service was great. The portions are large and the plate has a lot of variety (comes with protein of choice, beans, rice, and coleslaw). The rice is hidden underneath all the food. Personally I didn't like how they put the rice under the coleslaw but overall the food wasn't terrible but it was a little pricey.

Bongos is a must have place if visiting the greenlake area. They have a super cozy outdoor seating area complete with its own sand pit LOL. The place only offers counter service, so you get your food, find your own table, then pick up your food when your pager goes off. I ordered the loco moco which was super delicious. The burger patty was flavorful, not the most tender, but that's okay since it's drenched in sauce. The slaw gives some much needed freshness since the rest of the dish is pretty heavy. The portions are also huge, I ended up only eating half. Overall, would definitely recommend this place. The vibes are super cute, it's perfect for taking togo to have a little picnic around greenlake or just chilling in their spacious seating area.

The Desi plate is my favorite. You can't beat the flavor mixture, from the tangy banana peppers, to the citrus braised pork, spiced black beans, tart cole slaw and sweet Maduro. Delicious!

For being a gray lunch spot and nothing more, 5 stars all day.!!!! Love this place and go maybe once a month after going to the Woodland park zoo. Must try.

Bongos is a fusion style restaurant serving unique dishes from a few different nationalities. I ordered the gumbo and the jerk chicken plate. The gumbo was tasty but definitely not southern style as expected. The jerk chicken breast was super juicy ? but I found it lacked flavour. The value for food here is really good.I have to mention that all dishes are being served in plastic containers and cutlery that are not even being recycled, this is horrible. Serve your customers some real plates and metal utensils, I can't even imagine the amount of waste coming out of here. Get it together!

The food here is absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. I got the Caribbean Loco moco and it was tasty and it hit all the right flavor notes

One of the few places in "North" Seattle where you can get "exotic" food (for a city that's heavily saturated with Asian/American food. So def a place to take friends to try out! Mostly everything is spicy cuz of the seasoning (I'm a 1-star at Thai food kinda girl). But the depth of flavor cannot be missed out on! In the summer they got this awesome outdoor seating/sandpit "beach in the city" vibe. Guys here are always nice and welcoming.

Cannot believe we got an outside table in the sandy spot on one of the first sunny days in Seattle! This is a hidden gem - amazing sandwiches, cold Red Stripe and my kids were entertained the entire time. They played in the sand while we enjoyed our meal and then devoured the ham and cheese when we got home. Thank you Bongos for a family friendly place we all love!
